That could be the last upgrade for the scout line instead, much like the winged hussar for poles and lithuanians. IMO
Venetians used Stradiots in their army.
I generally think Europe is pretty full, but the balkans arenāt nearly as full as the rest of europe so iām notā¦balkinā at this idea.

As far as I know the region was part of Venice for some time. And the stradiots indeed were mainly recruited there.
But I am only generally interested in some historic stuff, not professionally.
Whenever someone proposes any European civ, eurohaters must come to the thread and be like [āBut Africa/East Asia/the Americas should come firstā comment here], you have threads for your preferred civsā¦

Itās not about hating Europe, currently half of all civs in the game are European, and some people still wanna add more European civs, then just rename this game Age of Europe instead of Age of Empires.
Iām not exactly against OPās idea, but I think it should come after DLCs about South America, East or Southeast Asia, and Africa.

If you read previous comments it is about people hating eu civs and people hating non eu civsā¦ but that sort of discussion leads nowhere.
Anyway no one said it should be next DLCā¦
And all the polls show that people do want more European civs (this isnāt the only AOE community), so like it or not there will be more European civs sooner or later, so hating on it just makes people look like pricksā¦

Itās not about hatred but about equal representation, currently Europe is already saturated with civs whereas some other regions are still quite underrepresented.

No, it is about hate, every thread about eu civ proposal is the same, every time same people, every time same conversation. Open any eu civ proposal thread, and open any non eu civ proposal and compare, it is like that for years now.

If youāre interested into Eastern European history, you got at least 2 DLC (including TLK) since the launch of DE: Compare that to the people which are still waiting for another African DLC. You really canāt blame people being annoyed by other people requesting more of what seems to be the same thing.
Thereās like Bulgarians, Turks, Cumans, Magyars and Byzantines already for the Balkan area.
Iām not hating on Euro civs, I just rightfully mention the fact that Europe got a lot of love compared to a lot of other areas. Iām pretty sure youāll get a DLC with Š”ŃŠµŃŠ°Š½ Š£ŃŠ¾Ń ŠŃŃŠ°Š½ eventually, though please not right now and with a new architecture set. ŠŠ¾Š³Š¾Š¼ŠøŠ»ŠøŃŠ¼ could also be intriguing to cover for a Bosnian ŃŠøŠ²ŠøŠ»ŠøŠ·Š°ŃŠøŃŠ°. Or the fight of Skanderbeg against the Turks.
Iām not saying that the Balkan has nothing to offer anymore, itās just not a priority for me.

Considering that all 3 current Eagle civs have been consistently popular in pvp Id say yes. Even before Cysion lucked out at programming Aztec and Mayan were beloved in AoC no matter which patch and at most ELO brackets as well

I am not against this totally. As a huge campaign lover, I would rather just for the sake of changing the scenery have an Africa dlc now. I think itās time to revisit this continent. I somewhere read a proposal for a dlc adding Somalians and Nubians as new civs and campaigns with a Turk campaign. Those seem interesting to me.

You are aware that freedom is worth nothing if some are treated like second or even third class citizens? Wouldnāt really call this a free society.
You are literally wrong:
Top picks are Africa, South America, the Sino-sphere, Himalayas, Central and North America and even a campaign pack and visual update (in that order) before any European civs pop up.
Iām not against people proposing European civs. But do check before stating things.
