Battle Elephants for the Indians

Well, he is the BEST player. If you manage to play like him, you win.

Devs also balance the game with his suggestions and playstyle in mind, not someone like you or me.

Whatever he says to them, in whatever way he plays a civ, it is like the Word of God, to the devs.

Yeah but why doesnt he pick them unless he is doing his masterpica?? And when he plays serous he made HC rather then Jans cous they can be massed easy
And 99% of people cant plays agains or like viper so sure for competative listen to him when he says something but otherwise listen to people to make civs they like usable

Now you are just arguing for the sake of argument.

Games are always balanced for the highest level of 1v1, everything else is irrelevant in terms of balance.

You want a completely irrelevant UU? Karambit.

No, I’m being factual. You’re acting like this is some huge issue to the majority of the community when nothing could be further from the truth.

You’re link full of people wanting reworks? Pretty much the same 20 or 30 people all the time. Heck two or three of the various articles about Indians are made by the same guy.

I mean Indians are hardly the only civilization that aren’t 100% accurately represented in design, not by a long shot. Balance will always supercede historical accuracy.

Not most games, most games have competative patch. And if you go listen to viper he said they are good but get hard counterd and have no answer to most stuff, very simmilar to what i was saying

Almost no civ is represented accurately. This is a game, and games go by rule of cool and gameplay balance, not representation or accuracy.

I already disproved the myth of accuracy with a long post, everyone knows.

I like how Indians got nerfed because they were viewed as too strong and parthnan is all “wheres the compensatory elephants?”
Indians weren’t nerfed to give them elephants. They were nerfed because Indians are too strong on the maps where they excell

With their Vill discount and strong Archery Rang, Indians are an “OP GG EZ” civ, that a lot of people just do not know how to use.

They may actually need another nerf down the road, like teh Vill discount not applying to the Dark Age, though I would much prefer they were not touched again, as I do like playing them a lot.

A bad UU fits Indians very well, since their base Tech Tree and Economy, are already more than strong enough.

The Elephant Archer needs to be a common unit between the Indian civ, and a Dravidian civ. Generally, it’s damage output could increase by giving it additional arrows, or bonus damage. I think it should cause bonus damage vs buildings for example.

The Indians could get a bombard elephant or a camel hand canonneer as UU which is more in line with their overall theme of gunpowder.

Bad idea, EAs are already a UU, and should stay a UU.

I like the idea of making it a regional shared unit.

How does Viper play the Indians? Make him play with EAs…

he did try few times and abandond it cous he was getting destroyed 11

So there we go. If even he can’t then we got a BIG problem.

In the early days of DE he did manage to pull of a win with mass EA. Ok, it was mainly because the ladder was new and thus everyone had the same ELO, and because a bug was making his army invisible to his opponent 11

Not really. Not all unique units are good. Despite that Indians is still a very strong civ. If their unique unit was stronger it would boost indians even further.

He plays with camels + Hussars + Cavalry Archers, or Shatagini HCs.

Indians are way too strong already, having a less useful UU is not an issue.

Ok sure i agree they are good but i think we could at least look at it this way UU shouldnt be unsable for any civ, for some civs UU should be just OK, something that you wont make 90% but is there for a choice (its not the best choice but in that 10% it can be used)
And for some civs UU should be one of the strongest strategies

I wouldn’t mind if them completely remove the camels from Indians
