Cannot launch DLC campaigns after latest patch

ISSUE EXPERIENCED

After last patch all the DLC campaigns in the campaign selection menu went grey with the yellow download arrow and cannot be played even though the DLCs are installed. Everything worked fine yesterday morning before the latest patch was installed. I tried to uninstall the whole game and all DLCs and reinstall but it didn’t help.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Install the game and DLCs on Xbox PC app
2. Update to the latest version
3. See if breaks like in my and other’s case (I found several identical reports on reddit AoE2DE site)

EXPECTED RESULT

I was supposed to launch and play the campaigns

I wanted to attach the screen from Xbox app with the DLCs installed but as a new user I cannot attach a second image.

This bug exists since July and it seems like they don’t care about it. I assume you just need to accept the fact that you won’t be able to play the content that you paid for like rest of us.

There are no DLCs installed for the game even though they are downloaded and installed (Graphics Pack included)

There are numerous cases mentioned on the Reddit AoE2 forum as well. This should be a priority fix for the devs because no one’s gonna buy any future DLCs if you can’t actually play them. Really frustrating.

What may help is the graphic

Since there are no reports of this bug in the Steam community, I think only the MS Store version is affected.
It seems that once again, those who purchased a Microsoft game on the Microsoft platform are being disadvantaged. This version appears to have very low priority and hardly any testing. Bugs are neglected for months, and as soon as they are finally fixed, the next update comes along and breaks everything.

Yes, looking at the replies to my report of the same problem it is fairly certain that the problem concerns the Microsoft Store/Xbox app and in particular the “offline app” function, there seems to be a workaround to get around the problem but personally I have not tried it yet

Same problem here. Windows 11 trying to play three kindoms dlc

Same for me — I can’t access any of the DLC campaigns, they’re all locked in the menu. Strangely, I still have access to all DLC civilizations and can use them in skirmish, just not the campaigns themselves. Pretty frustrating!

i have exactly the same problem, after the update all my gold medals of caucasus campaign and victors dissapeared, so i reinstalled the game and every dlc i own hoping to get them back and now the game says i dont even have the dlcs, i went as far as reinstalling windows and the app, it didnt solve anything
