After not having disconnects for the last few days, with the new Update 33059 I am having disconnects again. Twice after about 9 minutes and once after about 4:30. Am on good 50 Mbit connection and have no problems with HD or voobly connection.
I got the same problem. My game disconnects after 4:40 to 4:50 every time. I can’t reconnect to the game or even to online service of the game.
i guess it’s a problem with our routers. A friend of mine has the exact same PC but another router. Reinstalling or adding the demanded ports to the router didn’t helped.
I’ve got a TC200.20 router which is not very famous.
Still with the same problems… they’ve launched the update but didn’t solve it!
Thanks for the tip, I’ll try it right now. It was with the energy efficiency on.
I switched from microsoft version to steam version to see if that would correct it. It did not. Still being kicked/disconnected at some point between 5 and 30 minutes into multiplayer game play. I have now purchased a game twice that I can not play.
I find it odd that I can play every game on the planet without disruption other than this one. This game is unplayable as is.
I DC usually 5-10 mins into the game for about 50% of games. I have yet to disconnect after the game goes past 10 mins.
I have two systems and the disconnects happen on both systems.
SYSTEM 1 - Custom Desktop
Win10 x64 1809 17763.864
Intel i5-3570k (4c4t)
16GB RAM (2x8GB)
GTX 1080
Realtek LAN (sorry that’s all the specs page says) embedded on Asus P8Z77V-LK motherboard, running driver 10.1.505.2015 (this is the latest one provided by ASUS)
Some cheap WLAN card with default Microsoft drivers
SYSTEM 2 - Thinkpad X1 Extreme
Win10 x64 1903 18362.476
Intel i7-8850H (6c12t)
16GB RAM (not sure slot config)
GTX 1050Ti
Intel Wireless-AC 9560 driver 12.18.9.8
Intel Ethernet l219LM driver 21.10.1.2
(disconnects happen on both wired and wireless on both systems)
Internet details:
ISP: Bell Mobility Canada 300Mbps symmetrical
Modem & Router: ISP Provided Sagecom Fast 5566 (rebranded as Bell Home Hub 3000)
Modem/Router Firmware version: SG48222070
Devices are connected directly to the Modem/Router.
-edit-
I tested by tethering my desktop via WLAN to my mobile phone’s 4G connection and no issues whatsoever when using that.
-edit 2-
as of the nov 22 update, I no longer have this issue.
Seems like this is a Xbox Live Problem, every time I dc in a game I have to reconnect to the Xbox Live to get back into the MP lobby. How is this not fixed yet if it has been a problem for almost 2 weeks…
Guys, I found a fix(works for me at least)
All you need is: A cellphone, a usb cable to connect that cellphone to your PC and a wifi router…
Just disable your regular Ethernet adapter and use your cellphone as a hotspot via tethering, you dont need to use a 4g connection or whatever, you can use your regular ISP connection. Just remember, you need to connect your cellphone via cable to the PC, to bypass your ethernet adapter.
Has worked wonders for me in the last days, 0 disconnects on multiple games.
Seems to work for me too
its nice that it works with a phone but that is just a temp solution i want this ■■■■ fixed already so i can enjoy the game with my friends lol
nice try, but didnt worked for me…
i tryed VPN, Tryed use my 4g from Cellphone, try use my cellphone as a Hotspot and disable the Ethernet, tryed uninstall the game and install again, i tryed to disable energy efficient ethernet and wake on magic pocket and green energy… also nothing happens… still disconect at 4 mins…
I played since the launch without problems but when in 20 nov they did a new version… this started
tried everything aswell.
on launch I was having the same problem.
then it was ok, played bunch of games.
now last couple of days no mather how im connected to the internet, it drops after 5 min
The same exact thing is happening to me. I figured out it has something to do with the configs of my modem, because when I used my phone’s internet. I was able to play just fine. But I just can’t find a solution for this
Same here mate, I’m from Brazil and I use NET as well. Another friend of mine that uses a different internet can play just fine
I tried it, but it didn’t work for me
What about now? As we can see, it is really an ISP problem but that only happens when we try to play aoe2de. When we will have an appropriate answer from the AoE team at least to show they are trying to fix it?
Phone fix did not work for me either. I also tried a wireless connection on my PC, to bypass ethernet port. Also did not work. Frustrating.
What i tried today and what gave me somewhat good results was disabling energy savings mode in my network controller.
To do that open your device Manager, select the network controller, go to advanced settings and disable energy savings settings.
Sorry if I used weird words or stuff, I use Windows in german and “translated” everything without checking windows translations.
Hope this helps!
i am playing now with my 4g conection with the USB, closing the wifi and disabling the Ethernet… But is not good… jus waiting for news of the ADMs.
