@SDBarman I like the bonus about dead battle elephants returning 30% of their gold cost (donāt know if they traded with ivory though). Fletching and xbow upgrade free is too strong for archer rush. Should Bengalis be a dedicated archer civ at all? So far, I didnāt find much information in this direction, but I am not an expert (and not even from the Indian subcontinent).
In case the civ bonuses of Poles and Bohemians are identical to some proposed here, I will update the concept.
Archer and Siege Civilization

Pallisade walls and pallisade gates are built 50% faster

(Performed vital role in medieval Bengal society, sometimes even politically)
Unique Techs:
Muslin Trade: Docks produce 0.5 gold/sec/dock
(Fine fabric considered as jewel of Bengal, high demand for its uniqueness)

Indian DLC, unlikely unless they donāt care about sale numbers. But one further new Indian civ I surely see happen, perhaps in an Asian-themed expansion.
I think Bengals being an Archer civ is wrong. Correct me if I wrong, Bengals never used xbow. Elephant & Gunpowder civ will be the best representation of the civ with a bit focus on navy, monk and university.
But thatās just an indicator for not being a good archer civ. Just because we have Mayans is one of the best if not the best archer civ in game which is completely opposite of realistic history, doesnāt mean we can add more stuffs like that.
Following the release of Dawn of the Dukes, I updated the civ designs, especially the Bengalis, while Iām still looking for improvements for Tamils.
Perhaps some of you guys know a bit or two about those two civs:
Did Bengalis ever use Camel Riders?
What should be Tamilsā main focus? Is infantry and navy adequate?
Are the proposed UUs iconic enough?
And what do you think about the campaign concepts?
