Drag Scroll AutoHotKey Script. Works as of Latest Update

I forked an Autohotkey script that puts Modern Drag Scrolling into Age of Empires 2 DE. It was as of the latest update and I plan on maintaining it so it continues to work until hopefully it is made a feature in-game.

Hi, sorry, can you update it for patch 170934? This mod doesnt work for me at the moment and im kinda stupid to figure out how to do it myself through cheat engine

Drag Scrolling?

No. What is being requested here can be described as “Dragging” the map. The legacy behavior moves the camera while the Dragging is equivalent to moving the map itself with the camera being fixed to the same spot. It can be seen in some AoE footage, for example here within first seconds the player can be seen dragging the map around with cursor being in complete sync with it. It is unclear how they’ve achieved that.

Why is your mod at github and not in the official mod area of the game or aoe website? Mods are already a little sketchy by their nature

I think its because this “mod” uses autohotkey to replicate how camera drag works like in other strategy games. There is a post on reddit by a person who originally created this script and you can find video that demonstrates how this works - https://www.reddit.com/r/aoe2/comments/1p3inl4/script_for_proper_camera_drag_for_aoe2/?sort=new (btw, i dont know if you can share links on this forum, i sure hope you can).

Hi again, i finally figured it out, the one thing that was needed to be changed is baseOffset for script to work. New value is 0x040EC3A8. You cannot imagine how much i appreciate you and this mod, its the only thing that i didnt like about aoe2 - camera movement. And this script fixes it. Thank you
