True, and I am happy that a bunch of non-Infantry civs lost Supplies (Britons and Saracens should lose it too), but now it will never even be an option for Mayans at all.

Depends on the civ.
For Mayans? Yes. For Burmese, Slavs, Teutons, Turks, Portuguese, Japanese or Aztecs? No.
for all you know it could easily be above f tier now. shoot, the balista elephant is D tier according to hera, as are jaguar warriors, TK and Shotel Warriors and i’d easily build this over those units.
I’d be careful as this is not without consequences, it buffs Goths directly. Mongols will now struggle against late game Goths (especially on maps that promote multiple bases like Hill fort )

True, but they still have decent Champs, better raiding options, Cavaliers, Hussars, Elite Steppe Lancers (all of these are great against either Huskarls or Goth Campions), not to mention Mangudai, which just slaughter Halbs.
I think Mongols will be fine.
Yeah I suppose so… still, not that big of a deal a nerf that affect them only vs 2 civs, one that is rare too.
I mean, when they introduced patches like the kmer farming was fun, there was new bonus meccanics to work around, but this patch it doesn’t bring anything new.
A patch has just come out and people already argue about the balance changes??? You guys cannot be taken serious. Try them in game before making any posts or anything. I don’t trust even Hera’s opinion because he didn’t try them. And you don’t make balance changes just because one top player thinks that a change should be made.

Hera hasn’t even tried it much. maybe even hera doesn’t know everything. Mixing 1-4 elegant archers as meat shield and behind that some archers or hand cannons can be a really good.
Just pure massed EA don’t work too well. But you wouldn’t go pure rams either.
Hera literary said it was a low dps unit still.
By that logic every archer is low dps

Maybe it is the dps to cost ratio.
Don’t care about the cost. Put it in front of arbs or hc, support with BBC and i see potentially deadly army. It literally just got a 25% dps boost.

Thing is, Hera is sorta right in that matter. Chinese was a jack of all trades civ and now it really doesn’t have a solid counter to goth spam. Also, for Mongols.
What about Britons? They are so underpowered with those crap low dps longbows.

Cavaliers and Champions. Chinese still have great Champions, and the Chu Ko Nus can even beat Huskarls, by virtue of multi-attack.

True, but they still are Champions with all the Blacksmith techs, so they can still beat Goth Champs in cost-effectiveness.
But Chu Ko Nus can still win, and for everything else, there is Champs, Cavaliers, and Rocketry Heavy Scorpions.
