Filthydelphia's Campaign Collection

After a few attempts, I got it to work. That’s definitely unintuitive to try to garrison in a way that is impossible normally to garrison. Like I said, I spent half an hour trying to figure it out, and I even saw a YouTube video where someone was similarly stuck (although they must have been playing an earlier version that allowed you to change diplomatic stances). I wonder if there’s some way to change the puzzle so it doesn’t do something that is so out of the box.

Two bug reports:

  • I failed the game several times when going to a town’s monastery. Basically, I had everybody selected, I go to the monastery, my monk goes away, and I guess one of my other units was standing where the new monk was supposed to spawn, so it failed to do so and I got a game over. The workaround was to reload and only send in my monk, but that’s definitely not ideal and I kept forgetting it.
  • I broke the sequence in the penultimate town by entering, skipping the monastery, and converting the boat. I got the prompt to go to the final town, but then was told that I had to visit the monastery before going forward. Unfortunately, going to the monastery did nothing, apparently because I never got the instruction to visit it. I forced the transport through and landed, but since I didn’t have the Atonement tech, I couldn’t finish the scenario. When I reloaded to an earlier save, I found that I had to explore a certain part of the town to get the prompt to visit the monastery and then be told to convert the boat, instead of just converting the boat. If it could be redesigned to avoid this trap, I would appreciate it.

All in all though, a fun scenario! I would definitely recommend it.

You have to visit the headman first in Adinapur and then visit the monastery.

The headman never spawned when I broke the sequence and converted the Transport before I was told (I got the message saying “how do we cross the river?”, then I saw the boat and converted it to solve that problem). Even when I went back and explored the town, the headman still didn’t spawn. Hence the bug since there is no solution aside from reloading to an earlier save.

Just re-released an old minigame puzzle scenario from HD called A Curious Incident at the Abbey! Very different from my other designs, but I think you’ll find it fun!

Be sure to restart after installing for the sound effects!

Sure, no issues with that. But I can also share the state of it. Hopefully it will be fixed one day but currently its not where it should be.

Re-released one of my most popular HD scenarios in Rise of the Khmer!

This is a faithful re-release of the original pre-Rajas 2016 scenario so does not feature any of the SEA civs introduced in the Rise of the Rajas expansion. I wanted to keep this DE version authentic/true to the original version.

This scenario makes me want Hindu Gods Expansion for a future AoM DE or AOM 2.

Why? Share more on your thinking?

Have you played the scenario? It kinda reminds me of AoM mechanics where you choose a major and minor god.

"I think Age of Empires is at its best with small economies, small numbers of units, and a strong sense of exploration and danger – where great rewards or dangers could lie through the next patch of black and every life feels significant. "

So, did u make any Warcraft custom campaigns or plan to do? Since aoe2 is more of a macro game with big economies and big battles going on at multiple fronts etc. and with what you describe above it sounds like you would love Warcraft.

Just finished your Last Romans campaign. It was one of the toughest battles out there that I’ve played. Thanks for putting this together. Really enjoyed it.
