I’m not sure if this helps or not, but Ive recently found a reason maps are lagging and its from some potential triggers. One trigger I found to cause massive lag into the game crashing is by using “attack move” effect on gaia units

I’ve also been having issues with lags (up to 5 minutes in game at a time) since the May 16th update. Here is a post on that: In-Game Freezes for up to 5 minutes at a time!

In short - lots of headaches for scenario players/map creators lately. Hopefully this all gets fixed
