Perhaps like the following to make totally 8 civs for the Africans in the end (not including Berbers):
3 Sahelian civs: Hausa, Kanem, Nubians.
3 Niger–Congo languages: Benin, 2 Bantu (Congo and Swahili maybe).
The second one is likely the content of this DLC.
Indeed they are too similar to Persians. But I like the idea to separate the Iranic peoples in the game, the Western one for Persians and the Eastern one for a new civ.
Personally, the Sogdians is the better choice to represent the Eastern Iranic peoples for me. The Sogdians put more attention on the Central Asia and can pretty well represent other Eastern Iranic peoples like Scythians, Hephthalites, Tocharians, Bactrians and so on. This Eastern Iranic civ can be named “Iranians” for the broader covering range if we regard the Sodians are a bit hard to cover the Afghans.
Swahili states appear at the Fransisco de Almeida campaign, with the pattern that was used seems that FE wants to cover some civs that are in game but not properly represengted by a civ yet, if Swahili are true then they will replace the Ethiopians and Malians present in that secnario
If the new civis are Indian they can have BE line like the SEA civis.Afrcians could be like meso civis without cavalry or with camels like the current african civis.
Guys, the OP of the reddit post to this topic just said he spoke with a FE dev who said that they now go with random codenames to not spoil anything.
quote:
I just had a little chat with the creator of Portuguese Civ Mod who also works for Forgotten on his Discord server and he wrote that since past DLC codenames spoilt the content they now go with random codenames instead i.e. the African AoE 3 DLC is codenamed Belfast and Mexico civ is Bucharest
Most likely, they are Kongo (Kingdom of Kongo) and Bantus (Great Empire of Mutapa) and that they are three campaigns:the reign of Joao de Kongo (1470-1509);the rise of the Empire of Mutapa (1430-1450) and the expedition of Rui de Sequeira in search of the Cape of Good Hope (1472-1481)…
Yes it can also be,but the Somalis and Swahilis would be represented by the Bantus, the Tamils by the Indians, the Venetians by the Italians and the Dutch by the Burgundians…
