This is why you see that most balance changes are amazingly effective balance changes like:

El dorado +20 seconds research time
Zealotry now costs 900F 700G instead of 900F 800G
Aztecs millitary production 10% faster instead of 15% faster

Because we play the game, and it is quite good, so we try to keep it balanced.

You on the other hand, I’m pretty sure you don’t play the game. Otherwise you’d have realized that there is no need for those units to be viable, the game is already in very good state gameplay-wise and does not need additional convolutions.

You literally suggested to nerf every popular unit in the game already, knights, archers, eagles. Where’s your evidence that the game will be more fun when we see War Elephants vs Longswords rather than Knights vs Xbows ?
