This guy made one of the most underrated topics on this forum, and we even had another guy who used to share his 3D creations of TCS’s new civilizations. So yes, it is indeed a sin to see all of this happening, since some passionate people can create such masterpieces alone. I’m starting to believe the problem is more of a contractual one than a developmental one.
If only we had real modding. From what I understand, it’s nearly impossible to insert genuinely unique new skins or 3D models, so the community can’t fully show its potential, and the momentum is weaker. Imagine if we had proper mods with the community creating new civilizations and models, this would have put the company in a completely different position, and I believe the future would have been very different.
