Inca team Bonus

I don’t see how receiving an extra lama/sheep is a particularly strong team bonus.

Besides that, I don’t understand your comment. Incas wouldn’t be buffed, only Inca team-mates would be buffed.
And I’m convinced Mayans are far superior to Incas in team-games, so Inca’s team-mates should be stronger than Mayan’s team-mates to make team-games more balanced.

Oh, it is. It would maybe be the best team bonus in the game.
Extra food in the early game is extremely valueable, even if it’s only one llama.

And that’s also why the current team bonus of incas isn’t as bad as it looks. Because it provides a small amount of extra food for every farm build, equivalent to about 5 % of a llama for every farm.

And if you see my statement that the current bonus isn’t that weak in comparison to other team bonusses you can imagine what I would think of a free llama as a team bonus from the beginning…

In the case of Chinese it would make their start too easy if they already have their first sheep on hand; in the case of Britons they would not run out of sheep as fast and thus would not have that weird pre-feudal transition to other sources that players have to learn; in the case of Tatars they would hypothetically have enough sheep to get them to Castle Age with very few vills on other food sources.

This would be quite strong with some civs.

Dude… it would still have to be gathered first. It’s just an indirect wood bonus, and not even that much.

Nah nah, he said his idea was that the food would go directly into the stockpile.

if we give em a strong team bonus must be nerf elsewhere for balance. some sugestions here too OP

I still don’t understand why this is pinned.
Incas are still a good team game civ overall. They have 50 % winrate.
And the Teambonus isn’t really bad aswell, as I calculated earlier. It’s actually an above average Team Bonus.
Maybe it sounds bad, but in reality it isn’t compared to other bonusses like sicilians or japanese, which in most teamgames are completely useless.

Why so much ado about incas? They are fine now.

One agian the man asked nicely and RadiatingBlade made it so. It does seem to be getting enough talk and what not. There was also several post about the topic i just surprised they were not combined.

People have been complaining and posting threads about the Incan teambonus all year long…
Now it seems like the Devs finally want to put an end to the discussion and address it in a future update. I think it’s great how they value the opinions of the playerbase!

I think @casusincorrabil has done more than anyone to justify why this needs to be pinned. Her/his/their replies and replies to her/him/them are 30% of this thread.

OK, then just do it and give something like:

And then everybody will finally see that the bonus isn’t as bad.

It’s pinned because the OP asked it to the mods. It’s as simple that.

I have a great solution!

The extra llama becomes a team bonus. And before anyone says it helps Chinese too much, it really is still not as strong as any common flank combo.

Give them a civ bonus to make up for it.

A friend suggested adding a little food cost to eagles, the Incan bonus can then be to get cheaper eagles.

Best suggestion is this:

Farm upgrades add food instantly to farms even after being build .

Inca team bonus should be 2x2 farms.

I refuse to elaborate further
