Le Loi mission 2 "The Mountain Siege" doesnt proceed after 40 soldiers has escaped, and a couple other issues

:arrow_forward: ISSUE

In the above mission, after taking down a fort on the right corner, you are supposed to escort 40 orange soldiers to the east, and then the mission is supposed to proceed to the final objective.

However, i played it today, and even after more soldiers made it out (I counted, and i made sure they reach that corner and disappear) the mission didnt proceed to the final objective (letting Le Loi escape). Yes, im 100% sure that more then 40 soldiers escaped. Yes, i have looked at the recording and counted.

Thats the main bug in this mission, but it has a few more less significant:

  1. The orange soldiers are supposed to move to the east. however, if they are aggroed while inside the main city or near it, they just stay there like regular soldiers and dont try to escape to the east.
  2. the mission announces that half the soldiers have made it only after around 32 soldiers made it instead of after 20 have (thats how it was in my game). This is probably related to the main bug.

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s how to reproduce the issue:

  1. play the le loi mission 2 on hard
  2. wait until 40 soldiers made it through
  3. if it reproduces, then the mission wont end at this point.

:arrow_forward: GAME FILES

in this recording, at 59:45 the supposed last orange soldiers escape. However, the objective is not fulfilled for some reason. Afterwards, even 10 more soldiers escape, but still nothing happens.
The other bugs can be seen at around 50:00 (where only then it announces that half escaped), at 41:50 you can see soldiers 11-20 escape, but the “half our soldeirs have escaped” announcement wont happen. And every time orange soldiers are summoned and aggroed inside of the city, you can see they stop moving.

Hey,
I played it again and now I’m sure what the bug is - you need to let 60 soldiers through, not 40. The objective isnt right, thats all.
They tell you half the soldiers made it after 30 soldiers, and you succeed after 60 soldiers.
I have the recording of the game that proves it:

Proof:

as seen in the game above, after soldiers 28-37 escape, it says half have escaped.
Only after soldiers 58-67 escape, the objective is finished.

It seems to be 60 soldiers on the other difficulties as well, so i guess this was just changed to 60 at some point and the devs forgot to update the objective. happens.
Also, on the HD edition it was 20 soldiers, so it makes sense that a bug will happen with this objective coz it was changed.

I personally think 60 is the better number. It would be a bit too easy to let merely 40 soldiers escape. The difficulty of the enemy pushes escalates near the end which makes this mission fun. waiting for only 40 soldiers would remove that ecstasy.

Hi, its been 3 months and this was yet to be fixed. its just replacing the word “fourty” with the word “sixty”.

@GMEvangelos This bug is still present in build 44834.

It appears that it should be fixed sometime after update 44509. Hang tight, watch for changes in the update notes, and let us know if you continue to see the problem after that point.

the Le Loi campaign is gainning popularity in reddit about being the hardest campaign, so I’d say this is a good time to fix this minor bug.
