Judging from the labels on the Europe map, it seems there are maps planned for: Wales, Iceland, Gibraltar, the Balearic Islands, the North Sea, the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus, Muscovy, and the Ural Mountains.
Many of those maps already appeared in Napoleonic Era, so it will be a matter of adding them little by little (4 maps per patch) or unless they are saved for a future Baltic dlc with Poland and Denmark…
And Malta. Seen on the left of the Mediterranean map loading screen
Darn! I knew I was forgetting something…

With these 16 brand new Royal Houses, Europe would become Minor Nations complete.
They are not going to change the names of the maps, but they maybe add more…
Renaming is the smallest (marginal) problem.
The unrealistic distribution of Royal Houses on the maps is definitely a bigger problem. You need more Royal Houses for better immersion and correctness at the same time. Of course, more maps would always please us.
A curious fact, but no less (and perhaps it is a rule of the devs 21), is that the houses of the personalities of each European civilization do not have their house to make alliances in the game.
Queen Elizabeth = House of Tudor
Napoleon = House Bonaparte
Maurice of Nassau = House of Nassau
Frederick the Great = House of Hohenzollern
Suleiman the Magnificent = House of Osman
Prince Henry the Navigator = House of Aviz
Ivan the Terrible = House of Rurik
Queen Isabella = House of Trastamara
Jean Parisot = Without a house
Giuseppe Garibaldi = Without a house
The only exception is Sweden, that her AI personality belonged to the house of Vasa
That explains why some such emblematic houses are not represented.
Interestingly, due to renaming several cards, the original European personalities all have cards that represent the Royal House that they’re apart of.
Yes, they would have to add the missing royal house cards from their respective personalities…
most of them already have renamed cards to reflect the royal houses
The only ones that are slightly different are
swede - House of Bernadotte
Russia - House of Romanov
Of course, the same is half weird that …
There’s also Ural Mountains right beside Yamal
I would definitely buy it to hang in my room or in my office 21
We dont need 40 more euro maps, so many would just be duplicates with very little difference.
Also 16 more royale houses?? Nah man, that is way too much, the current royale house units are already lackluster in naming let alone the uniqueness in their gimick.
Also it wouldnt be “complete” it would be complete according to your own narrative, you really think there were only ~26 (idk how many were added initially) royale houses in Europe?
We would have to have one the same in the DE,but covering whole the world…
we need more asia maps and mercenary units。
More treasure guardians and animal species too
And the same for South America
I also wish they’d make the Smuggler treasure guardian speak the same language as the Tatar Archer. It’s really weird when you convert them in a West/Central Asian map and they start speaking Japanese.
First, it is just a suggestion of new maps for Europe. Secondly, with a good idea and map design, it will not be a duplicate of another map.
Brand new maps for Europe could bring us even more Flora and Fauna, Treasures, textures, etc.
What’s wrong with that? It doesn’t have to be 16 more, it can be less. Simply with the 9 current Royal Houses there is a problem of RH repeatability on many many maps - it kills the diversity of European maps and makes them boring faster because of this repetition.
The names of units from RH are weak not because they are European or did not have a name - it was just the creators’ decision, strange but it can always be changed.
Of course, I know very well that there were many more European royal houses than 26 throughout the continent and for many centuries. With 25 Royal Houses (9 current + 16 new), Europe would be “complete” for the gameplay.
Currently, Europe has around 36 maps (including the unavailable ones). By doubling the number of European maps (72 in total?) And adding 16 brand new Royal Houses (25 in total), European maps would become much more interesting and less monotonous than they are today. Royal Houses is a way to represent nations that unfortunately could not be civs in AoE 3, e.g. Basques, Catalans, Scots, many German and Slavic nations, etc.
When releasing new DLCs focusing on Europe, developers could simultaneously add more European maps and Royal Houses to the European map pool.
