Hi Neros -
Just wanted to let you know that I loaded up the game some 8 months after my last post on the forum here, and at a glance it seems like the issue has been improved, though I still notice stuttering when scrolling the map. I no longer notice screen tearing with only g-sync enabled, however, it feels/looks like the screen “catches” once every couple seconds when scrolling.
I wonder is this just a side-effect of some kind of grid-like system that the game uses and the little “hiccups” I’m seeing are the camera snapping from one grid to the next or something like that? Or should it be completely smooth when scrolling around the map?
In any case the issue seems to have been improved upon to at least some degree but not completely resolved. I’d be very interested to hear any kind of commentary on what exactly was/is causing this problem and if there’s any prospect for any further improvements.

I’m glad you have seen some improvements.
What language are you running the game in?
I think there is an issue with scrolling while using non-english languages which looks like it will be fixed in the next update.
Beyond that if you can try and capture the effect and make a fresh bug report our QA can have another look.
I was able to capture it as seen here:
I shot this with my iPhone 12. Since youtube only outputs 60 FPS (as far as I’m aware) it’s kind of hard to notice it during the first part of the video when the footage is playing full-speed. But when it’s slowed down, you can clearly see a stutter occur around the 11 seconds mark and again just before the 20 seconds mark. It might happen more than this (in this example) but those are the two most egregious instances (in this particular example) that I can see.
It does seem to happen fairly often but where and when it stutters seems to be random as far as I can tell. Sometimes I can pan across the map for a couple seconds without any noticeable stutters, and other times there are three or four. In this example I’m using the arrow keys so that it moves at a constant speed (though it seems to occur with the mouse panning as well).
I made a new bug report here: Map/camera pan stuttering

Hey i just got the same problem. I swaped my monitor from 1080p to 1440p and this started happening… its unplayable…
Have i5 9400F, 32GB RAM, RX 580
Ok I figured sth out. when i change my refresh rate from 165 to 60 fps, aoe looks like normal again. but why?
Ok solved my issue.
had to turn off freesync on the monitor to make it work properly.
