March PUP Notes

I don’t know if it was changed but it has been 20% for at least a year

Not sure what is meant there. Maybe double the current multiplicator ?

It would be absolutely hilarious if the devs really planned to give x2 to buildings to siege elephants (down from x10), to hand mortars (down from x16), morutarus (up from x1) and mortars (up from x1).

Since walls have their own new icon I guess is to double the current ones. Not sure if euro mortars and morutarus need it…

new civs would be via DLC and thus not a part of the PUP.

also not entirely clear if this is the big spring patch we have waited for.

I don’t like this as a civ bonus. Russia had a smaller population than France until the late 1800s. Its reputation as using its massive population to steamroll its enemies is from the world wars and later. It is also pretty inconsistent that India wouldn’t also get a higher population cap to reflect its historically large population and offset the huge population requirements of their elephants.

I’m also not convinced it’s really solving any deficiency with Russia. Yes your infantry aren’t population efficient, but they also train so fast it doesn’t really matter.

A better approach would be to replace Economic Theory with a new Emancipation of the Serfs card that increases the pop cap by 10 in addition to boosting gathering rates by 10%. Could even be moved to age 4 and strengthened a bit to reflect when the Russian population actually became significant.

It’s better to let Russia’s civilization bonus become: your tc supports a maximum of 15 pop. This will also help Russia a lot in the early stage. Instead of blindly serving the treaty

I’m saddened they haven’t reversed course on Hakkapelit RIP to an interesting unit now just a dragoon clone.

But I mostly like the changes, especially the british consulate.

@boylive16 yes, but also in the patch release there could be some kind of image hinting towards a new DLC, like they have been doing with USA, Italy, etc.

But you will have to wait.

Anybody had seen any new explorer skin?

Does this mean that Gatling do less damage vs cav/shock infantry or more, sorry I got confused?

They now do half as much damage as they did before.

When will the Chinese have unlimited manchu cards?

Too many things changing on this game, i don’t even know if it is a good PuP

Reducing less than 1 means reducing the damage.

0.5 means half. In this case 0.25 means 1/4 damage to cav.

China must be reworked and devs should detach the Manchu, Tatar, and Mongol units

During the rule of the Qing Dynasty, the Manchu, Mongolian and Han people were the main constituents under its rule. Please put away your ignorance, and at least check Wikipedia to help you better.

I already know that bro
Just China must look and feel better for the game purposes
Those units are so bad and lame that must be spawned in groups, but hand mortars are the worst
Better rework Zhuge Nus and bring Nest of Bees!

Zhuge Nu is the mascot of aoe, and they have been representing Chinese military units since aoe2. Age of Mythology, aoe4, you can see them all. It is also a stereotype of the Chinese military. In fact, the Zhuge crossbow is not a standard weapon for the army. In the context of aoe3, Chinese soldiers should use bows and arrows more. The Qing bow used by the Manchurians is also a famous bow and arrow in East Asia。

Nest of Bees is no longer suitable for the background of aoe3, he belongs to the early firearms, maybe he will appear in another way, as a mercenary unit. Singijeon representing Lee Joseon

Do not agree with you
There are medieval units in AOE3 as well,
There you have longbowmen, crossbowmen, pikemen, and so on!
So why not Nest of Bees, professor?

the faction is Qing china, it is literally Manchu ruled china.
