I keep seeing more and more posts on this forum trying to solve the 18 year problem of trying to make Grenadiers more viable in competitive games. Do you know the best re-work solution???

Originally in AOE3 classic there was just one grenadier, now there are 3.5 standard ones as well as a few mercenary/native varieties.
Some people dismiss grenadiers others might swear by them.

I’m making this new post because I don’t want to re-awaken any of the old threads surrounding grenadiers. I believe that the lack of popularity of grenadiers is because they don’t outright counter anything.
