I think the Titan in the image doesn’t necessarily have to be Gaia, just like the Egyptian Titan doesn’t have to be Horus (unless you want to believe it so ).
My theory is that they’re going to give a Titan skin to each God now. For example, they could leave the current Atlantean Titan just for Kronos, the current Greek Titan just for Hades, the Egyptian Titan just for Horus… and give the rest gods new skins like for example, the one for Gaia that we see in the image
thats a nice dream and since i am all for hopes and dreams i support this idea but i would still stay partly more grounded and have lower expectations like the others
Many people here are saying it’s a new Titan or a new model for the Atlantean Titan. That might be true, but if I remember correctly, the only Titan apart from Gaia in the last scenario of the Titans campaign was Kronos.
And this Titan looks to me to be the Retold version of the King of the Titans. Again, I might be wrong, but we’ll only know when the game comes out.
If each God is getting their own Titan, then the Titan depicted/the Generic Atlantian Titan is likely given over to Oronos, Given how Kronus already has his own model.
It’s most likely just promotional screenshots showcasing the new models and graphics, nothing to do with the campaign. To me, this is clearly the generic atlantean titan. Just look at his posture, the shape of his legs and feet, the crystals sprouting from his back.
You’re confusing Horus (minor god) and Ra (Major god).
Now, while I think it would be nice to have a unique titan for each major god, I’m not sure they’re going to do it, simply because Cronos and Gaia would obviously get their already existing titan unit, leaving ####### with this generic chtonian entity which wouldn’t make any sense to me, since ####### is a sky god.
BUT,
this doesn’t mean it would be a completely bad idea. In AOE3, we have monthly challenges, as well as past events that let us unlock unique explorer skins. What if in retold, we could unlock unique titans instead? Of course, a titan model and skin requires much more work than a mere explorer skin, so it wouldn’t be reasonable to expect a new titan every month. Maybe one every 3 or 4 months would seem fine. You could acquire the titan through a temporary event or simply buy it if you want to play it immediately or missed the event. I’ve bought the skin pack for AOE3, so I’d definitely buy new titans for AOM.
If the devs want to support this game after release and keep their playerbase, as well as to keep the player’s interest between each DLC, I think this would be a great idea.
She’s Gaia, and that image is taken probably from the Titans Expansion campaign, that’s the reason. The Atlanteans will have the same Titan as the vanilla game (mineral rock one) but reworked, of course…
In the end we can’t really read too much out of those pictures.
AoE promotional screenshots are also always staged and we don’t know how much they changed the campaign either.
I think so too. Too much interpretation/speculation. I like speculations but we should keep in mind the possibilities and not be too certain about something till we get more proof or play it ourselves
Considering how much changed between the time AoE4 was first revealed and when it finally released, even if we have the right interpretation, it might have changed until the game releases.
I hope there will be an insider beta soon.
And I hope even more then I will be invited to it.
Closed beta.
They did the same with AoE1-3DE and AoE4.
You can register an insider account which gives you a chance to get access to betas.
They will likely make an announcement before that though so people can sign up in time.
They wrote CAN, not must be. Why from all the things you could complain about, you guys guess the will deactivate the auto cast for units? Also the auto cast can be bad and stop the unit from fighting. Ever seen a Minator try to push a faster unit, which runs away or makes a hit an run?
