Or to Novgorodians. It’s about civilisations, not empires/kingdoms. The demonym to Kievan Rus is Rus or Russes.

Sounds like a made up name. It’s not even pronounciable

Is there any name that is not made up? All of them are. Novgorod Republic - Wikipedia

Next up make a civ called Holyromanemperian.

My issue with the Mississippians is there is so little known about them that you’d need making up a lot, as opposed to the Aztecs and Incas that are well documented so you could make campaigns about them. But their primitive tech level is not a problem.

There’s no demonym so far for HRE. The reason we have Teutons is exactly because of that - so that they could use Teutons to represent the entire HRE, instead of making a civ from HRE splinters - such as Bavarians or Bohemians. Check out that site i sent you, Novgorodian is a demonym.

Next up make a civ called Mstsislawian and Pereyaslavlian and Polotskian.

If they were as relevant as Kievan Rus or Novgorod or Muscowy, then why not? Achaemenids is worse to pronounce anyway.

At least i’m consistent and I’m not making up exaggerated examples in order to “gotcha” someone.

Well, anyway, Chronicles will probably be released in the autumn. And the standard DLC for AOE 2 will probably be released in about a year. I hope it’s about native America. And somewhere along the way rework -Slavs to Rus.

I hope the renaming comes eventually, but I think it would be more appropriate if it came along with Wends/Wlachs (who would replace Dracula campaign) with Magyar and Rus campaigns, and preferably with Novgorodians and their own campaign, too (Alexander Levski let’s go).

I personally hope they can properly resolve the issues and controversy surrounding the East Asia DLC before moving on to other places. But in any case, I think Africa and Americas would be welcome, as long as the civs won’t be some warlords.

I think the best Native American candidates are Chimu, Muisca and Purepecha, leaving Mesoamerica and Andean with 3 civs each. Others often mentioned and discussed include the Mapuche, Mississippians, and the Zapotecs.
