Sadly no “no focused theme” option with more than 5 civs.

Yeah, pretty sure we don’t need “New DLC Polls” at 10x the rate devs actually add civs.

Has been around for less than a month, and only 3 days since its last post. Nothing has changed that makes a new Poll worth making.

Just don’t vote if you don’t feel like it. Cheers.

Please none of those civs.

I voted no on the Civ splits, but realistically if we’re going to get an African DLC, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get umbrella civs that should get a split as well.

If it’s an Asian DLC, I wouldn’t mind a Chinese split either. More European splits (Venetians/Italians, Slavs etc) I’d rather not see atm, those can come later.

Agree with all of your suggestions, love them. Just wondering why Chankas and not Wari though?

Scotts - have longer pikes (ranged) infantry based
Germania
Saxons - infantry civ
Egyptian
Romans - siege civ with unique siege unit
Sarmatian - tanky knights civ

Maybe even bring in some of the aoe 1 civs with the centurians, hoplites, legionaires etc
 as unique units.

Or how about we leave aoe1 as aoe1 and aoe2 as aoe2

Legionaries and centurions are in the editor already, though maybe we could get an infantry centurion. Hoplites weren’t a thing since before Augustus.

Regarding civs, most of them belong to AoE1 or are already represented in AoE2 with other name

I know this will never happen. But we can dream.
Just like AOE for is getting 2 new civs for free for 1 year anniversary, 2 free civs as a “AOE franchise 25 years anniversary” gift for AOE II DE as well.

Age of Empires 2 devs release DLC

2 minutes later

Jokes aside, the devs couldn’t be happier seeing topics like these. This is what keeps Age of Empires 2 relevant.

I would like to see

  • Swiss
  • Tibetans
  • Khazars? May overlap too much with Cumans, who are already Khazar inclusive similar to old Lithuanians being pole-inclusive.
  • Austrians appear in multiple scenarios as Teutons, wouldn’t mind seeing them separately, maybe packaged in an alpine DLC with Swiss.
  • Kongolese
  • Mississippians.
  • Either Armenians or Georgians. Armenia played an interesting role balancing between Sasanid Persia and Byzantium- I would like to see that represented. If Turkey throws a fit that’s on them
  • Wallachia seems like only a matter of time at this point.
  • Mapuche gives the native American campaigns more civilization diversity, a big problem they have.

I can’t imagine a civ other that the above being in the game, you’d be grasping at straws at that point. Swiss and Tibetans are the only civs that I feel truly feel absent from the game. Other than them, the rest of the civs strike me as fun extras rather than essential players that need to be represented.
