My understanding is that the patch and the new DLC will drop mid-April. That means anytime between 10-20th of April. My guess is that the release will be latest portion of that period i.e. closer to the 20th if not later. DLC announcements come 2-3 weeks before release. So the earliest they can announce the new DLC would be next week.

I decided to see if Myanmar doesn’t have any better Palace/Fort to base their castle on since the one in the preview is clearly based on a pagoda, and I think these two are the best options (that I could find at least):
Both were rebuilt/reformed in recent history, as you can see from the article bodies, but otherwise fit the time period. Kanbawzathadi was even built for Bayinnaung.
The current fort is based on Innwa Sinkyone Fortress

They said the update will be mid April, I don’t believe they have given a timeframe for the dlc yet. People seem to be conflating the two

I don’t see how this is teasing. I don’t find any relation.
I don’t think they release the update but not the DLC. IMO, both coming out at the same time (Chinese, Koreans and Vietnamese having a big rework with new units from the new DLC)

Why are they asking to the future Age Playstation Players? Remember the DLC will be lanuhed with the PS release too.
Don’t mean to rain on the parade but I think you are setting yourselves up for disappointment if you think it’s coming out in April. All previous dlcs have had a pre-order period of a least a month usually more.
I’m happy to be wrong, just going by what was specifically written in the update

With the patch note that they will change civilzation for some factions in Genish Khan campaign, I think they will release the update and DLC at the sametime.
But now, with all week nearly pass and they still promote for AOE 4, I think we might be wait to after Arpil 8th, after release of AOE 4. Especially as I see, many player feel uncomfortable with new DLCs with just 2 variant of AOE 4 so really really need to put that DLC up
