Correct, but non-han dynasties, such as the khitan liao, tangut xi xia, or the Jurchen Jin, are not currently represented
Yup. With the Yuan being represented by the Mongols.
The ones who are not represented are the Liao and the Jin.
but the Chinese units are European, they don’t even have a hint of Asian, the only Asian unit is the chu ko nu
Just as every other non-european civ in this game. It’s just the way it is. Luckily they may get a regional unit or unique upgrade like the Savar.
That’s why regional skins are so requested
Filipinos? The only Indonesian group I recall trading with the Polynesian Triangle and Australia was Makassar, and they’d be under a Sulawesian civ. Definitely an interesting choice.
I mean, with some regions currently having one or two civs, fair.
I was meaning umbrellas in other parts of the world, sorry for the misclarification. But yeah, it would be a bit difficult to separate the Polynesian umbrella. I’d say where Tongans would focus on economy and military, Samoa would need to focus on monks. Idk how Hawaiians would focus though, I truly don’t know much about them.
As well as a proper campaign for Carthage beyond the AoE1 preview mini-campaign. Preferably focused on Hannibal’s March.
Clearly, however, renaming them Visigoths and then removing the bombards and HCs and giving them some anti-siege bonuses (for example) would be an interesting thing.
Maybe someone who knows about French architecture can help me out here – is this stylistically quite late for AoE2? Not actually outside the time period, but very much towards the end, 1500s-ish?
It does look pretty great though. Maybe even a bit too special to be a generic castle, although there are others like that already (e.g. Bohemians).
Yes it’s rather late. I don’t think it falls outside AoE2’s range. But Frankly (hehe), all the early Frankish castles were really blocky and similar, and not that visually interesting.
Honestly all the DLC castles look absolutely stunning and put most of the base-game ones to shame.
Achievement 319 is gone!
What does this mean? Should we take this as a positive or a negative sign?
Since we should be seeing something soon, I think it’s possible it was removed due to them revealing tomorrow, and potentially the actual achievements becoming visible. Or they don’t want it to be confusing when doing a reveal.
On the other hand, it could be that they realised that this hidden achievement was more trouble than it was worth.
Besides the removal of ACHIEVEMENT_319, there is also another change in steamdb:
Does anyone know what could this mean?
Not fully, I have been scratching my head but it’s outside my area of expertise.
EULA means End-user license agreement. But not sure what it means in this context.
Finally managed to get decent compression.
Well this is strange. As i’ve seen in steamdb, they usually delete the “ACHIEVEMENT_number” at the same time they add the new ones with name, description and icon, i.e. the release day, except for TMR, which were completely hidden. Let’s see if we got some news about it tomorrow…
I just started the game a few minutes ago and I had to agree to the new EULA. Maybe they made some minor changes to this agreement, I didn’t want to read all of it 11
On steamDB a lot of staging 1, 2 ,3 and 5 are still happening. Was there ever a staging 4?
what if they miss some numbers sometimes… They could have missed 5 while making DLC6, just like they missed staging 4.
4 is a cursed number in China, Chinese dlc confirmed again! /j
