i would personally prefer a deccan civ and a hindu north civ on that list, but that would probably receive a lot of backlash

If it’s Cantonese then it wouldn’t have camels and heavy camels, and should have access to battle elephants since the Nan Han Kingdom in Guangdong and Guangxi during the 10th century was probably the only Chinese kingdom in history to have a contingent of war elephants in its standard army. And also it would speak Cantonese and not Mandarin. I think the Chinese civ we have is a combination of all the Sinitic and Non-Sinitic dynasties or kingdoms that had existed in the area we now know as China.

Southern/Northern and Eastern/Western aren’t mutually exclusive things. Countries in southern Europe can also be categorized as Eastern or Western Europe. Similarly, countries in Central Europe can be classified as either Eastern or Western Europe.

So for example, Italy, including Sicily, also fall in Western Europe, and Bohemia falls in Eastern Europe. That’s just a general convention and it’s clear that the developers are going by it.

I swear, we’re gonna end up with people calling for a “Southwest Europe” and “North-Central Europe” expansions soon

So that they finish up with Europe and move to other continents without having the need to come back to Europe.

This argument that we have too many European civs is something I don’t agree with. I’m very excited to see Bohemians and Polish in the game. Vlachs and Serbocroats are two more European options. Armenians and Georgians are Eurasian and a nice transition into Asia once more.

I would also like to see many non-European civs. Mostly actual empires like Pala, Chola, Kanembu, Ghorids, Pratihara, TIbetan and Jurchen empires. We could also have significant kingdoms like Chimu, Thai, Congo and others.

Missing areas of the world map to connect civis would be tibet kanem and finns.
Easy to add civis without much buildings is India region factions.
Add more from europe swiss venice.

All the civs missing from Europe have a very low priority compared to some of the civs missing in terms of time lasted or power and the distribution of civs is really unfair. THats why we dont need more Euro civs in the near future

Compared to the empires I mentioned I would agree yes. Empires should be a priority over kingdoms. However, what civs are you thinking about?

Honestly theres just a lot to cover: Tibet, Kanembu, Somalis, Nubians, Afghans, Bengalis, Tamils, Thais. Probably Zimbabwe, Wari/Chimu, Hausa, Punjabis and Manchu as well.

I hope for no new civs anymore. Let them first work on the game stability and bug fixes before they introduce new bugs and stability issues.
