November PUP is now available!

I don’t think the new changes to the JPK was a buff, definitely a nerf wrong direction devs

They needed to completely revisit Asian Civs, instead they nerfed JPK lol.
Asian Civs feel sort of outdated in DE.

The old europe civs are laughing with this

Yes. That is why I have created a forum to rework cattle, because it is one of the most forgotten aspects.

My dear Germany :pensive:

The cattle Update with the Africans only favors Africans , it disadvantages India n Japan along with the usual old europeon civs.

Ironically most European civs are simple and effective, unlike some new civs that have a few seemingly broken gimmicks that are hard to use, so I wonder if they would ever consider giving them a big update…

It’s funny how people want all civs to have the same features in essence nullifying one of AoEIII’s biggest strengths.

Well, that’s not entirely true. For example, the cattle had already been discussed before the launch of the African DLC, and it seems that they took it into account for the Africans.

The identity of each civilization can be maintained although they will include new characteristics to them. A reinvigoration of older content is sought. New cards and things like that.

Oh I’m just making a observation in general. I haven’t even read that thread.

asian and european factions are fine, one thing is to improve their balance another is to entirely rework already popular civs for no reason.

But adding new things is good. For example, the Aztecs received new cards and the metropolis can be personalized.

that is not the same as reworking a civ.

You can rework them to make them more interesting. Or give them new mechanics.

Balance is one thing, fun another.

Edit: I don’t mean completely changing how they play, just making them evolve with time so players have to figure out new things to do with them.

if they werent fun they wouldnt be the most popular civs.

Having something new can be fun as well…

Something is good doesn’t mean it can’t be better.

I know it is not the same, but many aspects do need a rework such as things that are not used much or are not useful.

I don’t want all civilizations to have the same characteristics, I want small innovations and renovations that bring more playability and a bit of variety to old civs to re-awaken the enthusiasm of the players:

  • rework useless / very weak cards

  • churches, taverns / theaters, mercenaries and natives more useful and accessible.

  • Any new unit that comes in the form of a shipment, by the church or on a card. (ex. conquerors for Spanish, canooners for Portuguese, and some more …)

  • Increase the specialization of each civ a little. Ex:

France (Natives): Natives tps give a drip of exp.
Native Military Shipments x2. (This also seems to me to be a correct option for Spain, which is also partly a specialist in native allies, both in the game and historically).

Germany (Mercenaries). Faster shipments, enable them, population discount or more cards from mercenaries. (Also at age 2 and his mediocre age was highlighted)

Dutch (Turtle)
But can we get a little variety?
Units of age 3 in age 2, one shipment with 2 halberdiers + 3 skirms? (585 ressources, 1 skirm more are 700 ressources)
It will always be more effective to be a turtle and go to ff, but this way we have the possibility to vary and can go rush.

However, there are things that do need a deeper rework. Native Americans and Asians and European cattle are great features that are greatly underutilized. Rework these 2 aspects would be the ones that would most please me.

Then we agree. Maybe I’ve been reading too much of the AoEIV forum lol.
