With completion of Roman Auxiliary Spearman unit, was thinking of returning to Egyptians and attempting a Elite Chariot Unit with several horses, two passengers (driver and fighter skirmisher or archer unit) with ornate heavy armor.
Here are some reference images I have found, welcome suggestions to capture the correct look and feel.

@Mahazona thank you for the suggestion, after discussing difficulty and time to complete, we have decided to pivot and focus on Spearman and Roman Light Cavalry for now since they are quicker to complete, less complex. Here are some ref images we are working with right now for both:
Barbarian Spearman:
Roman Light Cavalry:

Here is an updated image of Work in Progress Market for Persian (Parthians)
The lighting, shadows, and camera angle is still not done, but this gives you an idea of the look and feel of the building.

So hyped for this because I waited once a couple months for Wildfire’s mod to extend but it ended up becoming a full on game and a couple of years later haha.

Really nice work, but fighting I mean hitting sounds are bit weird. It shame that AoE2 does not have a option like AoE3 that unit has both range and melee attack then legionary would be perfect.

@DapperTrout1297 thanks for the feedback, the fighting sounds were ported over from AOE DE. I may consider just using the AOE 2 DE stock sounds, I liked them because it gave the game a classic nostalgic sound IMO.
Also, the range and melee attack is attempted here. If you watch closely the Legionary changes from Pilum throw (skirmisher/range) to a sword variant (melee) upon death. This was done by copying mechanic AOE used to have both mounted and unmounted units. Decay animation is swapped for variant unit in DAT, in this case sword legionary unit.
This of course makes the Legionary unit two units essentially, so very strong and dynamic in combat. They will be expensive in terms of Gold and Food in game but should make up the main bulk of the army once resources are plentiful.
@Atsavin you and me both!! Wildfire’s mod is the true inspiration here and their 0 AD concept before it became its own standalone game.
If that is true then it means that AoE2 can’t handle AoE1 sounds.
Could you release the tent buildings in a version without the shields placed next to them? They could be used in many other scenarios I think that way
solid work overall. i like the persian market, fits the style of the game very nicely. if you need help let me know. i focus on my own stuff but if theres anything i can do to help id be glad to .
