Well i certainly dont always win and i find RM quite fun and so do a lot of people apparently since its the most popular game mode
Match making should result in 50% winrate for almost everyone. So only the real pros win a lot (compared their losses).
Many other players play the game competitive. It is not only to the pros.

it isnt a race to higher Elos. It is about matching against equally skilled players and have fun in these balanced games. The most terrible games are the ones who are onesided from the start.

in the late game you have more then 6 workers on a woodline. or at a mining camp. or farming.
yeah because aoe3 is SUCH A GREAT GAME and all the aoe3 style features that have been implemented into aoe2 have been met with such great reception, like you know the sicilian and burgundian unique techs.
it can be fun and competitive.
you got to be kidding me.
Plumed archers attack faster, are easier to mass up, are cheaper to upgrade, and have better range.

I have a system of max seven per Woodline.
Maybe because climbing laters, improving your skills and having challenging opponents is fun. Not everyone who learns how to play basketball plans to be a NBA superstar you know

Some players might have this as aim, but not all have this aim. Your idea of everyone wanna aim for higher Elo is clearly wrong.

ever seen an islands game? ever watched some of the longer games out there? they can start running out of woodlines. and when your options are move to a further woodline or keep to a closer but safer one, i know which i would prefer to go with.

You recall correctly
The main reason people use small trees is not because of holes in walls, but because it allows you to micro your vills on the woodlines, it allows you to move them when they bug out and so on if you spawn north of the woodline. No one should be at a disadvantage just because of that, thatâs why itâs an official mod
