This game won't be a hit

In 2005 3D was still revolutionary and avant-garde. It is not surprising. There is no excuse for that anymore. SC2 has all kinds of art and things allude to science fiction. Futuristic stereotypes for all its maps and it doesn’t demand many technical specifics.

I don’t understand what your question is about.

Those of us who play the SC2 campaign. It is so immersive that you stand out for its narrative and its details. He kicks ‘game of thrones’ ■■■. There is no absence of details neither in the campaign mode, nor in the multiplayer mode.

No. When you see the Game now dont see cartoon. I have played this Game for years, i know what i say

Doom Eternal isn’t the point, it was just one example of a PC game that can work on high end and low end machines. The game run solid on a bloody Nintendo Switch, it’s not well optimized, it’s unbelievably well optimized.

But forget Doom, here is another example - Spellforce 3.

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 7, 8, Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 3570, AMD FX-6350
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 15 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX compatible Sound card

Looks much better than AoE4 with lower requirements than AoE4.

The only thing lower is RAM by 2 GB, everything else is higher.

It isn’t optimized for PC then, unless the minimum specs on steam aren’t the real minimum. Those are high specs for the pic on the right (I am assuming that is the lowest)

I don’t recall people having issues with Dawn Of War or Cossacks 2. It wasn’t just 3D, it was the level of graphics and the artstyle.

Gonna ignore as it is irrelevant, just because a game has a sci-fi setting means it is surprising if it doesn’t have high specs? Lol

They have been upgraded

I played the game literally last year, perhaps your memory is overshadowed by good memories.

Here’s a screenshots from a video of the recent StarCraft 2 tournament, the game has always been cartoonish.

These images are of poor quality, but they show the same picture as in the screenshots above. Yaby preferred to throw off staged shots rather than bad screenshots from the video.

No, not at all. Those pics are from SC2 beta. I don’t remember the year, but SC2 received a visual update.
Now it has a little bit of a darker tone and the units/buildings look more realistic.

How can this model look realistic?

Yes, we can change the lighting or slightly improve the effects of the explosions, but the overall design of the game remains cartoonish.
It’s is fine, this is the personality of Blizzard games, this was WarCraft, and even World of WarCraf.

I dont see that cartoon honesty.

Also, I will not be responding to you any longer since you seem to enjoy lying. The “video” or whatever you showed is not SP3 lowest graphics yet you gave it’s minimum specs

I hate it when people lie so they can win an argument

Everything is clear to me)

This model is realistic. Only that have poor definition because the Game isnt designed to do that zoom level. But isnt carrtonish.

So you are talking about the model proportions now. Well, aliens aren’t realistic either.
But you know what looks realistic in SC2 visuals right now? The colors, the animations, the shadows, the explosions, the light, the interaction sfx, etc.

The expansion ‘Legacies of the Void’ improved the game considerably.

Considering that its graphics engine was created in 2007 (I think). It doesn’t look bad 10 years ago or now.
Everything is refined and polished.

Is this model also trying to look realistic and not cartoonish?

It’s just funny for me to read that Blizzard games strive for realism, when all their games were cartoonish and not serious.
