Time for some Positivity on these FORUMS

Let’s list our favourite changes in the PATCH! It took some scrolling, but I finally found SOMETHING I liked and think is well thought out. It might be the PENULTIMATE point, but hey, better LATE than NEVER.

  • Wagon Warfare: Now enables Guard War Wagons instead of Imperial War Wagons in Stables, but allows researching the latter.

Inquisitors and Granaderos being nerfed hard and Wokou Pirates finally being able to attack has been a relief between all the rubble

I like the Italy changes, I really hope to see some papal units in fortress, now they only have change the Papal bombard and make it as fast as all the other heavy artillery pieces, Russia looks nice as well, they should be able to scale food eco better and take map control more easily.

Aside from some of the obligatory Aztec nerfs there’s nothing really bad about the patch. Yeah this amount of small balance changes shouldn’t take 9 months, but at least they aren’t adding a ton of issues like usual.

As far as I know the only real op things for Azzies was the JPK rush and normal rush. Seems like they’ve fixed those.

Fr? As a balance patch I generally like this. Most changes address current cheese or abused strats. Most nerfs not too crazy, no abundance of super overbuffs. Time will tell

although they didnt fix all the mistakes, (spanish) localizations fixes are very welcomed

I am also glad that infinite 3 SIPAHI and 5 SIPAHI cards were not nerfed. It would have been too much all at once.

The Slinger nerf is a little questionable, the rest are fine. I would have liked them to revert Arrow Knights being heavy infantry though.

Great Temple of Quetzalcoatl Support (III, 500c): Moved to Age4. Cost doubled to 1000c and Jaguar Prowl Knight count to 12.

While might sound like a nerf, this is actually a good change for treaty Aztec by making room to Age3 deck slot for other card

What about War Dance?? Only aztecs used it in early game while aztecs only rely on it to boost their units , since they dont have any other option.

Actually it’s overall a good balance patch. The only weird one is nerfing revolutionaries across the board, i would have preferred some targeted nerfs instead. but it’s fine regardless.

Nice changes for Italy, but I hoped they also implemented a QoL feature where you don’t have to spam the investment buttons on lombards in the late game.

They could port the feature that is present in aom, where if you right click a tech or a unit, it’ll train automatically when have the resources, or the building completed its previous task (I’m not suggesting this for the whole game, just for the lombard investment).

Out of the civs I play most the Maltese changes are the only I would say were positive, the fixed gun pop reduction makes me wanna actually use it, and the Grand Master now making commanderies makes me wanna experiment a bit

There are a couple of treaty players XD. They just enjoy the game their own way. Just as the way you enjoy your way :slight_smile: .

The changes for Italy are pretty fun! I played them some last night and that went pretty well.

The changes to Russia seem a little all over the place My thoughts on what Russia really needs here. I’m not sure the hunters are worth it since they cost food (if they gave you Oldenburg techs that would be great), but Russian American Company is nice and so is the change to the two blockhouses card.

The Ottoman nerfs are kinda underwhelming, but at least the scourge of the FI got some heavy nerfs.

The nerf to South Africa is definitely appreciated. The Imp WWs will be slowed down at least and that might give enough time to tech into an appropriate counter.

Lakota got rekt? Change my mind. They weren’t exactly on my list for much of anything.

Town Destroyer nerf will be appreciated. I also appreciate that it’s still +1000% rather than 10x. It’s cool to see a percentage that high when everything else is like 15-20%. Also you might not immediately see the 10x and that could kill you.

It sucks TD had to die like that, was a great tool to piss off those annoying japanese monks lurking on my side hunts trying to shrine.
