This is how I would like to see the Polynesians added:

6.Polynesians/ Tuʻi Tonga Empire.
Tribal infantry and naval civ
Civ has no war gallies nor fire ships but instead have tribal war catamarans that is 0.5 pop space.

UU castle/Luakini: Ali’i/Maori warrior - Wielding an elongated wooden club bristling with shark teeth all along its edges. Can traverse (swim over) narrow rivers and small bodies of water .

UU Dock: Catamaran - fast moving trade cogs that fires defensive arrows whilst traveling along trade routes.

Unique tech 1: Haka - Infantry gain + 1 attack and + 1 armour.
Unique tech 2: Fa’amatai : Stellar navigators allows all coastlines to become explored and all great fish to become visible .

Civ team bonus : Increased fishing ship gather rate.
Civ bonus: Shore fish last longer.
Wonder : Moai (Stone heads )

Okay but in what way is that new or unique?
That’s exactly what was criticized in other tech tree suggestions and could happen for any new civs (e.g. regenerating archers, Hussars).
Slapping existing techs onto different units or exchanging/slightly tweaking the resource type for a bonus. No hard feelings.

But this could be said about any european civi too.same tech trees with different bonii can make more factions.
I would like to see more unique unit line combinations like elephants lancer but meso civis get less units so it would be hard.
For civilization from india there is room to mix up unit lines like elephant and camels or elephants and lc.

This would be very problematic unless the uu ship can cover for both units cost effective.

Giving the tribal war catamarans 0.5 pop space with multiple fireing arrows and them being cheaper than a war gally allows for spaming of these ships to overwhelm the enemies navies.

I would like to see that unit with the ability to garrison archers to increase attack

Poland was a power in the Middle Ages. First, Mieszko, the ruler of Polans, united the tribes of Lechites and then he was baptized. Thanks to this, Polans (the present name of Poland comes from the name of this tribe) has become an important player in Central Europe. His son, Bolesław Chrobry, conquered Red Ruthenia, Lusatia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At that time, Poland was a powerful and unified country. At the same time, Germany was divided into many small states.

You are talking about a non-united Poland. Yes, it is true, there was a division into smaller principalities (a similar situation was in Ruthenia at that time), but they were ruled “according to the principle” by the senior (the king’s eldest son) - it is known that it was a bad idea. As a result, Silesia and Pomerania separated from Poland for hundreds of years.

Fortunately, Władysław Łokietek reunited the broken principalities and restored the Kingdom of Poland. His son, Kazimierz Wielki, became the greatest Polish ruler in history. His reign can be described as the golden age of Poland (before the union with Lithuania). During his reign, Poland became an economic power, many cities and castles were built.

As for the Winged Hussars, I would like to say that they do not fit into the Middle Ages. If someone thinks that the Polish civ would have only this to offer, it means that they do not know its history. Winged Hussars only fits AoE 3. It is worth noting that this unit has Serbian roots and was later used by Hungarians. It was only from there that the Hussars came to Poland.

Of course, the creators will decide which unit to give the Poles civ.
If they chose the Winged Hussars, it would not be the fault of the Poles, but the developers - for not knowing the history of this country.

And this applies to all civs, not only civ Poles.

The creators decide everything, not us.

It doent have to be revolutionary, just diferent.

Thats what designing a civ is.

Honestly this argument is kinda dumb since Chimus play really really diferent to any of the others eagle civs with them being really bad at playing the standard meso strats and having a really weak economy relaying on their slow infantry instead throughout the early game and mid game

Just call them “Catamarans”.

The irony when this happening for civ suggestions you approve of is alright, but for civs you’d personally dislike, not.

For civs that are already represented its not.

And gameplay is what matters, not bonuses.

Bonuses are part of gameplay. And you don’t get to decide what civ is or deserves to be, represented. Fortunately. Neither do I.

Those bonuses Chimu have are also really diferent to the bonuses other meso civs get as well. And those bonuses give them a really unique gameplay despite of them being generic.

I can make a criteria and I can use that criteria for what I think. A civ really closely related to other getting a really similar civ fits that criteria.

Sure and justified as it’s your own opinion. That’s exactly my point, even the claim of being “a civ really closely related to other” is subjective.

DO NOT OFF-TOPIC!!!

Off-topic is the biggest problem on this forum.

True, I even forgot the title of this is “Dawn of the Dukes most anticipate civs”. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I just feel obliged to respond to all those remarks claiming that Poles Bohemians Georgians armenians or Serbs would “take” the spots for other civs I couldn’t care less about.
