What do you think would bring more players to age of empires 3 de?

Putting the game on Redbull Wololo.
Last year, on the 25th anniversary of the franchise, the only games that did not participate in the event were AoE3DE and AOM.
release of DLCs and updates allow the game to grow and develop in the long run and in that regard the devs are doing a great job.
But in the short term, only marketing and publicity will bring more players to AoE3DE. Something that does not happen, AoE3DE does not even participate in the franchise’s own events due to pure self-sabotage of the communities of other games in the franchise (such as the redbull wololo 25th anniversary edition)

Last year when the game of the franchise just got a huge dlc (maybe the best one so far), it received close to zero advertising in an event that “celebrates the franchise”.

Thats what Im talking about the Red Bull Wololo shame!

It would probably overtake AoE4 if they advertised it properly. And they don’t want that to happen.

You can adjust the colours to anything you want.

More content? The anniversary update was cool but it was mostly just for Ottomans.

There haven’t been new maps in a long while and the US and Europe are overexplored compared to other regions.

aunque me gustaria más una selección como esta xd

Everytime I change the default colors I end up changing them back no matter how great they look (white looks grand). I drive myself nuts.

Personally I darkened them all just a tiny bit, makes the units look somewhat more realistic imo.

I liked white as well. But the neutral stuff on the map kinda interferes with it.

The default blue tends to be the only one that I don’t change. Pink and purple? eh.

Orange needs to be darkened because the default blends in too much with yellow-makes it hard to distinguish what units are killing each other.

The fact we can discuss player colors is pretty humorous. Eat your hearts out other AoE games.

Yet 2 years ago when I went to ranked I found a maximum of 3 minutes of 2v2 or 3v3 with balanced elo now you have to wait at least 5 or 7 minutes to find an unbalanced 2v2 or 3v3 with too different elo between players

To increase the number of players you need to:
1 First sponsor the game.
2 Invest more Money.
3 Bigger patches and we want better balances tested before by 2k elo+.
4 More functional events.
5 Tournaments with prize pools called prize pools (not $400) this would incite players and veterans to come back to play the tournament.
6 Are tastes I would say that many liked the game as it was vanilla or as it was EP or as it was De initially many more than anything else competitive players did not really like the addition of new civilizations that further break the balance and which make the game more difficult and longer to understand and study which already was compared to many rts.
7 More features, settings, more detailed and modern UI, more detailed and modern main menu and menu interface.
8 ladders with more details, old ranking system and detailed ladder sites like #### ## elo rating by ensemble studios with a modern interface, working friends list like eso with more features and more features for clans and optionally a built-in clan war mode in the game.
8 Last and here I stop, rework on matchmaking as aoe2 or similar and with an algorithm that works in all cases not the one now that matches players randomly.
Many of these things have been brought up in some past threads even threads from 1 or 2 years ago and have always been ignored while they had great potential for the game but will continue to ignore them because the investment on the game has been reduced.

Someone has to convince AuronPlay or KunAguero to play aoe3, I’m sure they would love to make revolutions

I really wish regions besides the US and Europe were better explored by maps and minor civs. The minor civ distribution in South America is atrocious.

if they fix game performances

You started in Spanish y terminaste en inglés

I agree with more SP content, BTW. It’s a great way to introduce new players to the concept of homecity.

If you think I’d buy a South American civ just because it’s South American, you are absolutely right. The South American player base is kind of big, so maybe adding South American countries will make the player base bigger (instead of splitting Italians).

That’s literally removing one of the biggest things that make the game unique. It’s not controversial, it’s outright making another game.

I’d rather have Kingdoms and Empires from the nonEuropean world first. Like at least 80 before splitting Italy.

I think both Italy and Germany should be split, Kingdom of Italy and German Empire doesn’t exist until the late 19th century,

but I do agree that fragmenting Italy now would be too soon, and Germany just got overhauled recently. So doing other countries should take priority first (even though I probably skipped non European ones, just not my taste).
