Which of them you hate so much that you would you like to see removed from the game for whatever reasons?

None of them. They all have a place.

The stupidity of this question surpasses my wildest imagination.

Could you comment on the point you are trying to make ?

  • Do you feel there are too many civs and ask which 5 civs should be removed in priority ?
  • Or do you want to ask which civs are the least favorite of the playerbase (in whuch case you can look here: Favorite Civs poll and here: Favorite Civ Poll (updated))
  • Or do you want to know which civs feel unfair to play against or to unbalanced between the different maps ?
  • Or are you trying to argue against some civs not fitting aoe2 from a historical poimt of view ?

Without any reason on why to remove civs, I wouldnt remove any civ.

I think my list of hating civs is 3x times longer than 5. But my love for this game is definitely infinite times greater.

Just read this. Could you put it at the beginning if your post ?

I do not have any civ in itself. I just hate some units and unique techs. But for me that is no reason to throw the whole civ by the window.

Less stupid than threads that demand 10th Mediterranean Architecture Civ or yet another split for Slavs or Cities/Villages as Civs.

Nice way to gather likes.

Results of favorite civs polls do not reflect hated civ for obvious reasons. Civs that comes at the end of such polls do not automatically mean they are the worst. They might just be value neutral. Neither hated, nor favorite. Also least favourite and hated civs mean different things if you know what I mean. Slavs is my least favourite (because of them being worse version of Bulgarians) but not my hated civ. I wouldn’t remove them.

It’s not going to happen, so I don’t see the point to discuss.

Are you aware civilizations.json file exists?

Kinda dishonest to not put a “none” option but I wouldn’t expect anything less from people who have problems with having more options rather than less… The lack of imagination and openness of this fanbase is asphyxiating but again can’t expect nothing more from a game that deals with wars, most alluring to control freaks and rigid mentalities.
But those are not the people that kick the game further or that kick anything creative in general…

You are in luck, you got the first comment for you. You may use it as your button by giving him your like.

I voted Franks for the meme. But yeah, this is not a good idea and I don’t actually support any civ being removed.

The game is not thriving or growing anymore, in fact too many civs is a big deal for newcomers, learning all the stuff necessary is just too overwhelming, honestly this devs in charge ruined our beloved and classic game to earn few dollars.

More civs didn’t make the game any better, current balance is disgusting but there is a huge make up on big events, the drafting and banning system prevents the players to over abuse broken civs cause naturally everyone would pick the strongest 3 civs just like in aoc.

I am no longer active on this game and i was active since 2006 on multiplayer, even if the game has superior quality over voobly in terms of playability cause input delay, but other than that it is way worse, no social interactions, forced maps, forced pick civs, unfair games and teams, punitive system and the map design is bad cause the devs also changed the original maps.

In other words this game is no longer the classic one, wake me up when the remake launches with only 25 civs or so.

You really are making yourself a likable fellow

I am not sure the answer of this question.

But if you ask ‘What post should be removed?’ I am pretty sure there are many people will vote for this post.

You set him up for it by not adding a “none” option.

I wouldn’t say any civ should be removed, but I’d say Celts if it meant we’d get Scottish/Irish rep that isn’t just a Braveheart reference.

This question is nonsense because its bias bc there is no “none” option plus i think all of them over the lifespan of aoe2 deserve their place
