Which civs would you like to see added first in DLC?

By the way, I would have kinda liked it if AoE4 had minor civs like AoE3 lol

I’m guessing this would fall into Mississippians? But an emalgamation of Native North Americans would be great.

Some ideas i would have for them:

  • Early game archers: dark age archers, with horseback archers available in feudal
  • a perk similar to the rus with hunted animals, possibly giving wood - based on the idea of utilizing hunted animals to the fullest extent and not being wasteful
  • Imperial age offers the research of mobility similar to how mongols play, but is unlocked late game - based on the many nomadic tribes, and continuously being pushed back by the English/Americans
  • Research Idea - StoryTelling: moving troops keep line of sight active for an additonal 15 seconds before fog of war sets in.

Why is this post still pinned? It’s missing the most influential civs

Which are the most influential? Rome?)

That’s the question everyone is asking… Why? Where is fuck is Ottoman Empire? Spain?
I guess it’s to show utter disrespect for a large part of AoE community. Especially after horsemen and Delhi

Norse Vikings. Could do something like: You start on water with 10 villagers and a seer, then sail to a new location to setup your town centre. They would be so much savage fun to add to AoE4

That sounds a bit like the Maori in Civ 6

Talking about Maori, if they ever add them to any AoE game, I think they should have a “scout boat” or something (available only on water maps, obviously)

Of course,I think the same…

the Greeks are from the ancient period not the medieval (in that case they could put the Byzantines)…

The Mughal empire is from the early modern period (The India of the aoe 3) not the medieval, there they could put the chola or pandya empire …

Europe is over-represented already, makes more sense to shift focus to Africa then South America. And some samurai actions would be fine too :fire:

This poll is a joke. Why is it even on sticky? One of the most wanted civs (Ottomans) is not even in the list lmao.

I would love to see some ancient Egyptians with a monastery research tech of cannibalism. It would be great to be able to turn a deadly raid on your base into a food source.

AoEIII introduced some great variety on its maps, with smaller factions, trading posts with recurring bonuses and several kinds of treasures. They feel more alive and strategically deeper. It’s saddening that none of of that made into the newer but apparently downgraded AoEIV.

The native factions specifically would be such a great opportunity to include cultures and peoples that inevitably won’t be able to make into the game as standalone civs.

Other : Aboriginal Australians

So popular that they are represented by the Byzantine Empire :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I think the same…the maps of aoe 4 feel so empty without the native posts and treasures…
