you must be new to this. we never ask when. we ask: “how much later?”
SSank ju ffor trawwelllingg wiss deutsche bahn!

They just rolled out a new PUP.

Armenians lose two-man saw but go from 25% to 40% bonus eco strength.

Persians lose gold on kill bonus.

Georgian eco bonus radius reduced to 8 from 10.

that’s nice

wise

only that? Why they want to nerf georgians now? Aren’t they underperforming anyways?

Ok they made mule carts 80/20 instead of 100/20. Which is weird. Then they could just make it 100 W.
But as georgians still get the first free mule for -50 F they only get very little in the continuation of the game from it.

This seems like a good idea. The Celts should always be the best lumberjacks.

Why would they do that? They’re so much more interesting now.

This is just bad. The Georgians are already terrible. They don’t need a further nerf.

Would you be able to post the link? I haven’t been able to find the new pup

Just check your downloads. If you’re signed up, it should be queued or already updated.

How much was nerfed there? from 5 to 3?

As far as I can tell, it’s gone completely.

I think if it was just 100 wood it would be just way too big of an upgrade over generic lumber camps for it to not be a UU (or unique building in this case)

Damn but I can see why why they did that, having the Savar and +2 attack vs archers as team bonus is enough distinction to be a top Cavalry civ (also the War Elephant).

Any changes to Composite Bowman?

Not that I can see right away in the stats. Maybe something hidden, but nothing immediately obvious.

Are you finding all of these by looking in one of the json files or the genie editor or something or are the civ descriptions actually updated in game ?

The mule cart isn’t that big of an eco bonus actually. At least in the early game.
MAybe it was inteded as that but for me it was kinda obvious armenians and georgians fall behind in the early game which was / is imo still their main problem.

I even aprox. the gains for Armenians in feudal 45 W (3 mule carts) and then another 30 W form the increased effect of DBA until castle age. So total 75 W until start of Castle age. Which doens’t seem a lot to me tbh.
I hope there is also something other like better utility for the mule carts or something, cause I doubt these 75 W savings will bring Armenians up to a competitive level.

In the PUP, yes.

I notice just now they edited the barracks units text as well.

Cilician Fleet Blast Radius is nerfed isn’t it? (for demos?) I recall it used to be 33%

The Armenian wood bonus change is a good one. That means they get just about the exact same woodchopping speed as Celts in Castle Age when both civs have researched Bow Saw, but Celts woodchopping bonus is strictly better up until that point. Celts have a smooth Castle Age boom, so hopefully now Armenians will be able to hit some better timings in late Castle / early Imp.

Not that I wanted. But I guess this work.

Really? Is mule cart that bad compared to regular camp?

Good change.

I thought Georgians are underpowered.

Right. Another good change.

Am I the only one that actually wanted the Persian gold bonus to be retained?

No the weird part is that is now the same 100 res cost. But as it is different than 100 W you still need adapted BOs for the civs to actually hit the same timings as the other civs.
And for me that’s really an unnecessary obstacle to learn playing these civs.

In general I’m not a fan of these kind of dark age alterations. It’s not that there is anything to gain in dark age. So you have to alter your BOs just to be even in feudal timing with other civs - why?

IMO it’s an okay change. Yeah, it takes a little practice to get the hang of them, but that’s a good thing as long as it’s not too onerous. Making civs FEEL different is very important.
