For those who need to see it here:
Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Open the hosts file with Notepad
Add a new line at the very end, with the following:
0.0.0.0 text-mod.ageofempires.com
Save changes
Use Notepad++ to edit that file easily.
Note: It will only disable them for you, others need to do this to allow you to see their messages.
Note: This also disables the chat delay.

Guys, did you get the original 11 taunt back? Somehow I still have the taunts from the event.

It works for me, but you can search for “Old 11 taunt” in the Browse Mods menu. Hope that works for you!

Does that mod also get rid of the doorbell sound associated with chat messages?
I really dislike the new doorbell sound that occurs every time you chat with someone. I never had a problem whatsoever with the old AoE2(2013 and before) sound for chats; may we have it back? Or something a lot less intrusive sounding?
For me, the new sound is too high-pitched and long. It isn’t tight or concise at all; it doesn’t get out of the way fast enough. It tries to auditorily upstage the game, as well as taunts, by getting in the way. Generally speaking, it just brings too much attenti…

Tried copying the mod to local folder as instructed in the mod page too.
