Yeah, but this shows the responsiveness of the developers. This issue is about MONEY. Money they could get from us. Imagine how they will solve problems that have nothing to do with straight up cash. Weeks, maybe months of delay? It doesnāt sound nice.

I imagine the problem they are facing right now, they canāt resolve it by themselves. The money you are talking about- 1/3 of it goes to Steam. I think they have to work on it with Steam. Itās not the same as if they were trying to patch a minor bug. I have no doubt they are trying to fix the issue, and I have no doubt they will continue to do so and try to keep the game balanced and free of bugs post launch. They have studio dedicated to AoE now. I feel this is going to be a golden age for AoE.

I wanted to buy the game on Steam, especially because of the possibility of buying it in bundle, and because there I have the 2013 AoE.
But because of this situation, I decided to buy it in the Microsoft Store.
For practical purposes, having multiplatform itās the same, I have several games (Forza, Sea of Thieves, etc.) bought in the Windows Store and they works perfect.
Anyway I understand that many people want to buy it only on Steam, either because they have Steam Wallet or because they are not familiar with the new Xbox platform in Windows 10.
Steam has the most features and growing communities
I am familiar with the Microsoft platform, but I HATE it, I prefer Steam a thousand times. Hopefully solve this quickly.

Anyway, finally the network will be through Xbox with your GamerTag. So it will be the same.
For my part I had no major problems with the network and the Xbox community.
The game is not even released and u are talking about them āforcingā us to buy on Microsoft store, meanwhile Microsoft is giving free keys for AoE II DE on Discord for Steam. In worst case scenario, beta testers will have to wait untill game launches, delete the game, and then buy it. WORST case scenario. So no, no one is forcing us to buy from MS. Still, mistake like that is pretty ridiculous, but itās not like we wonāt be able to buy the game at all.

Is it safe to buy AoE DE in the AoE Definitive Edition Bundle right now? All my friends are not in beta and they bought the Definitive Edition Bundle and play together, meanwhile Iām still waiting cause I have the bug with preordering AoE II: DE as well and there is a problem where people who bought this bundle and they are in beta canāt get the Aoe II:DE at a discount. Should I wait? Or can I safely buy it?

Personally I never pre-order games before final release and especially not when fall becomes early winter already. But the month November is also the time they donāt have to support Windows version 1803 anymore, so the release date is a logical date and gives even some more time to do another beta test round.

I regret your problems and I understand your anxiety.
But it is not a good idea to blame game developers and disqualify them.
Really, developers are striving intensively on too many things at once.
And Microsoft has a firm strategy, from now and into the future, to relaunch the AOE franchise with multiple games, including AOE IV.
Friends, great moments await us to enjoy with the AOE, and I am sure that the problems that arise will all be addressed.

I am waiting here since the launch of aoe de in steam to be fixed this problem, i dont blame or disqualify them but at least they could tell us how is going the fixing, i am waiting to play a game that thousands of people are playing and i cant, is very unfair and frustaiting, althought i am patient but man, some news could helpā¦

I wanted to buy this game from the moment they announced it! Even the screenshot of the steam cart showing both DE as āin libraryā used by a dev in this thread is mine from a troubleshooting question. I couldnāt buy the game because of all this bullshit and now steam has de-regionalize the prices in my coutry because of the economical mayhem we are going through. I donāt blame the devs for the decisions of politician but I HAD THE MONEY TO BUY THE GAME AND BECAUSE OF THEIR INCOMPETENCE NOW I CANāT BUY IT ANYMORE.
U canāt buy the game because of ur government then.
How far can you go to defend the mistake they made??? I had the money, I tried to buy the game since the first moment, I knew things would go wrong pretty soon, I wanted to get the game as soon as posible and they couldnāt get this right. Is their fault.
