It’s not all about Romans! We have started work on custom Unique Unit for Britons, Ambaxtoi. We are currently using a Scenario editor unit Ataulf as a placehold graphic. Here is some concept images for design of new unit.

Beautiful 3D work right there.
I’ve been wondering if, by combining this with the civ builder, it would be possible to add these new civs without removing the old ones. The base game Britons could be renamed to English or something to avoid confusion.
I never used the civ builder or a civ created with it, so I don’t know if it would be possible to add new unique units.
You can’t add new civs, only replace them, it’s how the civ builder works, and it’s how we work. Besides, we don’t necessarily want to keep the base civs around, they don’t fit with the time period, and ideally we kind of want to create a vacuum where you only play these civs with and against other RaW civs, not against the other AoE2 civs.
Oh, it’s a shame that you can only replace existing civs. I hope someone finds a workaround someday.
So will you try replacing every base game civ that doesn’t fit the time period then?
Overtime I would like to. I already expanded the time period a bit unintentionally, probably lots we could do, either by expanding the era more, or the geographical area maybe. Right now, we already have 23 civs to go, which is quite a few, but maybe we will end up with 35 custom civs (More would require use of DLC civs, so people would have to buy them).
Its gorgeous man! But could you make it bigger still? I mean it is the Hippodrome after all? And its not too tall like some tower wonder units.
By that logic, we should upscale the Coliseum about 4 times at least, and let units be placed inside it. I honestly would kind of like to try that, it might be interesting.
Hindustanis can be transformed into Bactrians (Kushans).
Gurjaras into Magadhas.
Bengalis into Kalingans.
Dravidians into Pandyans or do not change name.
Interesting idea but currently no plans to use any of the DLC civis as people who want to play the mod will be forced to buy the dlc’s.
Or no need to make correspondence between original civ and the RAB civ. Just add these ancient South Asian civs into it.
We need at least one Indian civ at some point, but not yet. If I finish Ave Caesar, I plan to make an Alexander the Great campaign, but I need to do further research into the Indian civ(s) required.
I downloadend the mod unzipped it and dropped both parts in the local mod folder, but i cant see it in game.
Anyone knows how to make sure you can see it in the game.
@jawide Make sure you have installed the Enhanced Graphics Pack DLC and activated UHD Graphics in Game. The MOD replaces and adds SMX x 2 graphics which are the UHD version. The Mod will not work for regular definition or SMX x1 graphics.
I have done that and i stil dont see the MOD
Are they in separate folders within the local mod folder? (e.g. mine are mods\local\RAW Dat and req files\ and mods\local\RAW UI and Files) And since placing them there, have you closed and restarted the game?
Another Preview, AbeJin created a custom Wonder for Brtions, StoneHenge. Amazing how quickly he was able to take this from concept to actual render for game. This is going to really make the Britons civilization come to life in Mod. Beautiful Model
i dropped the mods in subcribed instead of local. It works now.
Awesome @jawide. Glad you got it to work. Have fun with it and feel free to share feedback here, on Moddb, or on our discord. Always excited to see new folks discovering and playing our mod!
