Haha , Yea you cant win without spamming barracks, cause you dont have mortars to destroy enemy infrastructure from far away , and the slow train time wastes ALOT of pop and time.
Pushing in through the enemy lines is very hard as India. As there are no units like: Swedish Lanskanet. Griot+Maigidi, Cannons/Mortars, Daimyo, Flag Ability, Opro, Doppel etc etc etc etc that can tear through the enemy
IMO 90% of India’s treaty problems could be fixed if they were given a way to produce units in groups of 10 instead of 5, if the Karni Mata aura boost was increased in area and strength by a significant amount in the later ages, and if the Siege Elephant’s light cavalry tag was removed.
Ideally, a way to produce Urumi slowly from one of the Wonders would be useful as well, but not as necessary.
Beyond that, their units are reliable and do what they’re supposed to, and their economy isn’t something to sneeze at; I’d personally rank it a solid B+ tier.
Oh! they got the option to build too ! havent noticed that recently, as im just not playing much.
But yea they have the option to build, but are not able to build it. its a bug in usual Indian update fashion i.e. if you fix one bug, introduce new one Raise it
(just the type of stuff that led me to not play this game as much i used to also many of my friends also not playing anymore for similar reasons )
Now that KotM civs can deploy armies through the map easily, I cant see how deploying mansabdars on HC points (at least on imperial for Sup balance) can be OP.

The armies that you can send as shipments are very costly in terms of export. and these armies are only available once. and these shipments costs 1000 years to become a reality, meanwhile they take pop space of the same.
Basically, u’ll be blocking 45 pop and at last minute u’ll see the Forward Shipment point being destroyed and the 15 gendarmes dropping at your own home. Export if worthless in “most” scenarios
They have a +30% attack buff card, then there’s the 15% melee attack buff and the 10% attack and HP buff and the Shivajis tactics card that grants 5% hp/attack to all units.
I saw they’re fine as far as cavalry is concerned, it’s AOE damage that they’re lacking. As outside of shipments they don’t have anything that does AOE outside of mahouts.
I know that they have all that cards as I play indians on treaty and after sending them I say this. They do less damage than Spanish lancera despite having less HP while the speed bonus doesnt compensate in my opinion.
Sowars are more specialised but they’re not lacking, if you want omph you get Mahouts.
India might have problems but Cavalry is not one of them. Unless you think they should have an easier time with Auxilaries (Mercenaries, Outlaws, Natives and Foreign units).
Now I do think that Consulates are great in theory but useless in practice, Only the first unit shipment is ever reliable (So go ottoman if you want Cavalry)
The Jat Lancer is too expensive It’s a fast lancer not a heavy one It should be 3 pop.
