Good thoughts. In addition to the units/weapons in the map, it doesn’t make too much sense to steer the HUD UX/UI icons away from the time period the game exists in (medieval), in favor of a modern day mobile, Win8/Win10 metro-style one. Thoughts on UI

UI in this game just terrible. Why so much sterile blue, are we in hospital or school? We need UI presented by textures of wood, stone, parchment and all of this! This is AAA class historic game, not an air tickets website project! And where all the distinguishing UI skins between civs are gone? This was one of the landmark features of the games in about 2000; aoe, starcraft all did use it. The HUD's not my fav

Is this HUD block: [image] Really better than this? [image] In my opinion, a giant block interferes with your view of the gameplay area a lot more than a thin banner across the perimeter; and it’s more distracting, too. Can someone point me to the UI/UX white paper, case study, focus group findings, or PhD thesis that says using one color for all buttons in a HUD is the best thing to do since iconography was invented? Colors for the Icons

Hello everyone I think the icons from the buildings, techs and units are good. But I would find it better if the colors were not all gold. This makes it difficult to distinguish the icons. I think it would be a small thing to adjust only the colors. For example they could make a house brown. It would also look less sterile than if everything was gold. What is your opinion about that?
