Sorry, please start again, I screwed up the poll to resolve a typo.

I am assuming the 48 civ limit, so that is why I think 9 is the realistic option.
CheshireWig3203:
I personally voted for Swahili, Somalis, Kongolese, Nubians, Tamils, Bengalis, Siamese, Jurchen and Tibetans. I donāt really care which civs will be added from India and Africa because there are too many great options. 9 civs would be a massive downgrade because I didnāt have space to vote for Tongans or Native Americans.
I just picked all the names that sounded either African, American or European.

I know that, but it would still be bad. 50 civs would be better.

I went for the same thing

Editing a poll resets it, no matter what you do. You should not edit a poll once it is set up, at least not after a few dozen people voted on it.
If thereās a limit, I would love to see from an European perspective exotic civs next

I donāt think he tried to manipulate results and just a few had voted.
Just please no more European or American civs. And nothing thatās basically a dark age civ but gets all the techs just for balance.

So rn the 9 civs would be Tamils, Mississippians, Swahili, Tibetans, Kongo, Mapuche, Nubians, Serbians and Somalis

We only have 3 American civs, it is the most underepresented continent in the game.

I am surprised by Serbs, and how poorly Tarascans and Iroquois are doing.

I donāt get the opposition to American civs. I really like Eagle Warriors and we just have so few civs using those. I would love to see more options, especially considering how they went on in āThe Last Khansā and āLords of the Westā to add so many Paladin civs (Cumans, Lithuanians, (Bulgarians), Burgundians)

Tbh before The Last Khans we had two DLCs in a row without a new Pladin civ and the one before that only had one
Yes, but this game has WAY too many Paladin civs. It is no longer a special unit that you get to pay for with the rest of your Tech Tree being bad, like Franks or Teutans had to.
A poll is not conclusive with small sample sizes. Youāll have to wait at least a week or so until a minimum of 100 people voted on this. It also is a very biased sample size, considering it will only sample those which are quite active on the forums. Best would be with any AOE poll to directly ask every player, though this is unfeasible from a normalo Forum user position.

Couldnāt agree more tbh
Im honestly not. Theres always people around who just want Euro civs and Tarascans are mostly unknown. Agree on Iroquois though

I have made a huge effort to remedy this, since they actually fit the game more than Aztecs and Mayans ever did, by virtue of actually having Metal weapons, but to no avail.
I do not think people here are unknowing of them, so much as uninterested.

I find it anyway kinda funny that we keep doing the same stuff in regards to new civs over and over again:
Hello Age 2 players and new civ discussion maniacs. As you know this forum is full of suggestions for new civs ranging from 4 more slav civs, 7 indian sub continent civs, 8 different african civs, north american civs, polynesians, inuit. Pretty much anything that one could imagine. While most of us love seeing more content and civs in the game we understand there is some limit of bonuces, unique units and techs that can be added for the civs to feel different while keeping the feel of the game.ā¦
Iāve tried to be as unbiased as possible. Thereās also an option for no more new civs for those who like to vote that way. Iāve written a civ next to a region which already features one so that people get an idea what I mean with each.
Civs from which regions would you like to see?

This second polls asks generally speaking about what you think should be the approach in regards for new civs. The second option āWe have enough for nowā can basically also mean āI donāt care eitherā.

Greetings fellow Empire-builders.
The recent installment of the Lords of the West, introducing 2 new civs and 3 new campaigns have certainly heightened debate and apprehension among many AoE2 gamers on the future of this beloved game that we all love.
Discussion ranges from āIt is good to add new civs?ā to āNo more civs!ā to āWe need new content! It keeps the game going!āā¦you get the idea.
This Post will be outlining my idea on how Age of Empires 2: DE should proceed in my humble opinion. ā¦
One of the most possible solution to end the forum wars between the players who want new civs and those who donāt is to actually have a separate Co-op mode similar to SC2 Co-op Missions. I know this is quite a lengthy post but please kindly read to get the idea for this suggestion and vote accordingly.
What is SC2 co-op?

Some ideas for new Civilisations to diversify old Civilisations like the Burgundians are alternative Franks and the Sicilians are alternative Italians.
Disclaimer: I think new Civilisations in Africa or North America have higher priority.
Also the Ideas are not complete. There can be additional Bonuses.
I also donāt specify every missing/available Technology.

Hail and well met, fellow Empire-builders and Empire-conquerors!
The recent announcement of the āDawn of the Dukesā has gotten me very excited on the [possible] prospect of new civs incoming into Age of Empires 2. SOTL has already put forth his speculation that the new civs are likely to be, but I have come up with what I think are the most likely new civs: Poles, Bohemians, and Georgians.
PLEASE NOTE: this is just my own speculation, and is not in any way what really will be included in theā¦
So, since we will get new civs, my hope to see a venetian civilization has risen once again. This was an old civ concept of mine, that I designed years ago, but never shared since we had the Italians and because of the DE āno new civs policyā, but since we got the siciliansā¦
I know that there are already many requests for new civs, especially for cultures that werenāt included even a bit, and by any means I mean that this civ should to take precedence.
I just want to share my ideas and vision ā¦
Updated the previous list by removing some redundant civs and adding some new ones. Also made a map accompanying the list:

Symbols represent the civs already in-game, texts are the new civs being requested (in the list below)

I am surprised by Serbs
Probably so many upvotes since Balkans are barely represented, if anything by the turko-slavic Bulgarians.

Balkans are represented enough.

The small duchies of the Balkans were usually occupied by other people, like the Ottomans, Magyars or even the Venetians.
