A little reminder that there are still a lot scenario editor bugs (probably more than I listed below).

In editor, I created several triggers with effects&conditions which are all about âxxx Object xxxâ.
And I crazily clicked on the âDelete Triggerâ button while effect/condition was selected,
then one trigger was deleted,
then game stucked for a while,
then two deleted & play a loud button sound,
then game stucked,
then game crashed suddenly.

I want to send a chat to display a value. But if I use non-ASCII chars in a string(such as âĂâ, âââ, full-width chars, Chinese charsâŠ), the Editor would return a msgbox with text:
Error 0047 "could not parse the code for '<function name>' function".
or
Error 0049 "could not emit quads for '<function name>' function".

The crash bug about replacing someone with [Invisible Object] has existed since 2019/11/14.
In Editor, if we use âRepalce Objectâ effect to replace a normal soldier such as Archer(Type#70 in Advanced Genie Editor) with an [Invisible Object], game will stuck for a while and crash.
Moreover! After the crash, if I open AoE2DE again, it will spend a looooong time (>4 minutes, butâŠ

I am trying to remove the hero glow from the Jarl and Vasco de Gama units for a scenario in which non-traditional units may be produced at regular buildings for certain players. However, these units are not meant to portray special units or regenerate health, so I would like to remove their glow. Water will only render 3d effects and waves after testing. And even then, only the water painted in after testing will remain so.
Worse is (from the image you canât see it) that the beach waves are frozen in time (during editing and in-game) as in - they donât animate.

In the scenario editor, my game crashes very frequently whenever I use the layering function for terrain. This is especially common when I am applying underbrush layers over non-underbrush layers. Because of this, Iâm forced to save my progress constantly, or else I may lose a ton of progress on whatever scenario I was working on.

I did find one workaround, but that workaround is really bad and shouldnât even be considered a workaround. what I could do is give chu ko nus only one projectile and then divide their reload time by the number of projectiles they had. but that would look stupid. you would have a chu ko nu with a machine gun. same for every other unit with secondary projectiles like castles. also for the asthetic it needs to have multiple projectiles. seeing many arrows fly somewhere just feels satisfying to me.âŠ

Yeah thereâs quite many issues with the Scenario Editor atm. I wish they would focus on it a bit more in a patch, since the Scenario Editor is a great place where many new interesting ideas and modes were first created.
I added these bugs you mentioned to my unofficial list of bugs also
I want to add a small one:
Using the Swap Players button switches all resources and options except for Pop Limit .
The black tile glitch still hasnât been resolved.
