I’m creating this list to be the ultimate reference guide of all bugs and issues, present and future, that afflict Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. It is meant to help the developers and the community to more easily track the status with every one of the game’s issues, if it had been corrected already or if still there are work to be done on it.

When using the Reveal Map cheat code, instead of just the terrain being revealed, units and buildings can also be seen. Moreover, buildings and units are somehow highlighted, instead of being hidden as they should due to the Fog of War. It is possible to see military units and villagers working on structures and gathering resources.

Priests can’t heal any unit that is moving.
Animation and sound plays but the target unit wont gain HP.
Reproduction Steps:
Here’s how to reproduce the problem:
Get elephant (or any of you units) damaged.
Heal the elephant with a priest.
Keep the elephant constantly moving.
Watch as the priest does the healing animation but the elephant wont be healed.
At this point, the only thing I expect from the devs is the correction of every single bug in this game on the next patch. Nothing else. The addition of new content is on the realm of dreams for now.

Chariots, elephants, catapults can go through the wall, while cavalries, swordsmen, priests can’t.
It seems this is related to collision size. And I hope you can unify this behavior: all units can go through walls or all can’t.

Sometimes units can get stuck in the terrain seemingly at random in a way that they’ll no longer react to commands. Here it is on video:

While the video only shows them not reacting to the right click move command it’s the same with any other command the player would issue. The only “solution” is to just press Del and make new units instead.

The waypoint system in AoE: DE is really difficult with villagers. Scenario 1: I was trying hunt deer and I wanted my villagers to follow a certain path in order to avoid spooking them and so I laid down the path and right-clicked the deer, this made them immediately target the deer and it just ran off. Scenario 2: When laying down buildings, units immediately go to the newest building, which is really annoying.

Once units have boarded the ships, they can no longer be retrieved. Ships will also try to get as close as possible to the units that were sent to board them.

Please, make it so heroes are immune to conversion! Losing a hero to a priest can mean defeat in certain scenarios. The “science” behind this is that they would have a much stronger will and ideology than any other regular unit, hence making them immune.

Hello, yesterday I played age of empires 1 DE and like the original, the AI does not know how to board the ship to go from little islands in the east to the big island to the west, so i had to destroy them in my fourth age, while they were still on the beginning islands with just a few villagers and a transport ship.

Seems to be more likely when there’s little space for hunters to work.

Wonders (Babylonian, East Asian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman) disappear when edges of the screen are near them.
Easily spotted at the bottom, and right side of the screen.
Texture resolution (1x, 2x, 4x) and zoom scale (all ranges) also seem to have an impact on how this bug shows itself.

Hello Everyone!
Not sure for some, but to me the definitive edition has been mind blowing as I love it a lot. I of course was expecting to see it all so I would normally go to the scenario editor to have a look at all the new looks.
I was a bit disappointed from it since its beta because I noticed that the cheat units were left behind with old models/graphics for some of them (see pictures)
